Great yard and nice guys. They will get you hauled fixed up and back in the water quickly. They have a machine shop and can make new shafts ect on site, this greatly speeds up repairs/maintenance. They do a lot of passenger boats so Coastguard inspectors are frequently there minimizing the delays of waiting for an inspection.

I left an extremely simple part at Rose’s to get duplicated. After double the estimated time to completion, the machine shop hadn’t even begun and wouldn’t even give me an new estimate for when the work would be done, which is ridiculous. There are plenty of other local machinist/shops who I’m sure take more pride in their reliability; I’m just disappointed that my time was wasted by Rose’s first.

I had a problem with a hydraulic steering pump. I sent it to Florida to be rebuilt and it came back inoperable. I searched the Country to find a reputable agent to service said pump. I found Rose's.
I emailed them and got an immediate response from Marty. Knowledgeable and extremely quick to respond. I shipped my pump out to them and two days later I got an email advising my pump was ready to ship and they had located and corrected the issues the last company had created. TWO DAY TURNAROUND!!!
My pump had sat in Florida for two months before they even looked at it.
Now people there are good

Experienced, capable, and honest. I've worked in and out of more boat yards than I can remember, and plenty of them have let me down. Frank and David are amongst the best when it comes to things you just can't buy- like integrity. It seems like they are always going out of their way for the customer. The marine store is well stocked with quality, legit hardware. They have to service the fishing fleet, and people's lives ride on it. This is a spot that provides a sincere service to the marine industry.

Another great year of storage and launch. Dave went out of his way to meet our every need - and can you believe he actually helped us look for a lost dog after his work day was over? An extremely competent travel lift operator, Dave handles the biggest of ships with a precision and skill that makes my jaw drop. As far as I'm concerned, this man is a hometown hero in his own right. Please patronize Rose Marine if you're in the Gloucester area.

Rose's Marine is tremendous. Don't be fooled by the tiny store front, they have everything, just ask. Or else they can get it. Not to mention the full machine shop and all the other yard services. Target market is professionals and marine trade types so if you need a whole lot of hand-holding and "gee I don't know" pleasure boating advice, this may not be the place for you ... but if you know exactly what you want or can ably describe what you want, this is place to go. Prices are lowest on the North Shore with very few exceptions, and they've price matched some
