Castle Electric, Inc. is owned and operated by Jim Prescott Sr. and Jim Prescott Jr. Castle was founded in 1997 in Norwood, Massachusetts by Jim Sr. and the business has grown exponentially over the years due to the company-wide commitment to exceptional service and quality. Though Castle Electric is led by father and son, the crew has varied in size over the years, at one point employing over 15 people.
Currently, we have several crews in the field and are growing to meet the high demand throughout Eastern Massachusetts. We have built our business around our solid partnerships in the construction industry and amazing repeat clients. Knob and tube wiring is simply an older form of electrical wiring. It is ungrounded which creates an extra danger since it will not blow a fuse or trip a breaker in the same manner as a grounded circuit. Typically it comes up on a home sale or transfer, since insurance companies will not insure a home that has live knob and tube wiring in it.

Castle Electric did a great job with original installation aprox a year ago. Then we had a small problem recently with a single outdoor outlet (we are close to the ocean). They came out, fixed it no charge quickly. Very happy with their service.

This was the second time we have used Castle. They were very responsive, did a great job at a reasonable price and did a thorough clean-up. When we had some problems adjusting the heads on the track, they immediately returned to assist. Highly recommend.

Castle Electric was terrific. They came out to view the project and shortly thereafter provided a quote. Once I booked, I got on their schedule. They did a great job communicating with me. It was a large job (13 light fixtures) so they sent a 2nd team (after that team finished a different job) to ensure the project was done in one day which I really appreciated.

Castle installed and hard-wired 8 smoke/carbon monoxide alarms in our 3 unit Colonial. The owner came to check out the work and give me an estimate. Nice guy. The price was competitive, the workers courteous and competent. When the alarms started to go off erractically over a year later they came out to check them without charging. Overall I was very satisfied with their work and customer care.

We had a 240 volt outlet installed in our utility area to power a whole-home humidifier. The work was completed as described. Scheduling was very easy; the electricians were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and did good work.
Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and professional. The price was higher than other estimates for the work completed. It cost $750, but I chose Castle because the individual who came to the house initially to provide the estimate was very courteous and seemed knowledgeable, and they have great reviews.

Castle was excellent to work with in completing some substantial upgrades to our electrical system. We had a lot of old, outdated wiring that needed to be replaced, and they also upgraded our service and replaced our panel. The crew worked over several days and they were always on time and the office was incredibly communicative. Electrical work generates a big mess by nature, but they were diligent about cleaning up at the end of each day as much as they could. As a relatively new homeowner, I did not know what to expect when hiring an electrician. I had numerous issues that needed to be dealt with. The scheduling was easy. The 2 person team arrived a few minutes earlier than the arrival time-frame and after a walk through of everything that needed to be done, I was told everything that they would be doing. Round 2 with Castle Electric: also great. This time I only needed them to confirm that an old outbuilding had no wiring running to it (it didn't). Laku (again) and Brian came out and did what they needed to in a few minutes. Friendly guys and very reasonable charge for a service call. Castle had been booked out a couple of weeks, but I'm glad I waited.

Very pleased with work done by Castle Electric. We got in touch to have them install a switch for garbage disposal, wafer and under cabinet lighting in the kitchen, a new panel in the basement and to get all the basement lights on one switch. The work was done by 2 crew members (I believe it was Laku and Brian). They showed up right on time every day and worked quickly and quietly, occasionally consulting with us when necessary.
There were a few small hiccups due to a lot of the structure and wiring in our house being abnormal, but they quickly found a way to work with it and get the job
