Our business is comprised of two people, myself David Colby Jr. and my father David Colby Sr. My father has been in the millwork business for nearly 30 years, supplying woodwork and casework to many builders and contractors. I have been building custom millwork for nearly 2 decades. In that time we have worked for and with many talented and skilled people in this wonderful profession.
A door can be built out of nearly any species of wood. The door frame can be made out of that same species of wood or the standard hardwood stain grade or softwood paint grade. Some woods have better adhesion than others when it comes to priming. Stain on the other hand can be applied to just about anything.
