Foster McCarl, Jr. formed McCarl's Plumbing & Heating Company in 1946 after being discharged from the Air Force. He initially focused on the residential market while the company quickly established itself as a reliable and dependable plumbing and heating contractor. In 1949, McCarl's was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth is responsible for the successful management of SP McCarl and Company's management team to include fiscal, operational, and strategic planning. She serves at the key motivating force in the company and ensures programs and personnel are in place to train the entire workforce in the principles of the SP McCarl Way.
Our goal is to be one of the best places to work in Pennsylvania and to be the most sought after contractor in our region as well. In 2010 we established a new vision that we believe is at the essence of achieving that goal. If we as co-workers can always be there for each other, our work environment will be second to none.
As a general contractor, S.P. McCarl is committed to providing safe, on-time, quality outcomes for our clients. We have a history of performing both large and small-scale projects as a general contractor. We develop trusted partnerships with owners and sub-contractors to ensure projects go smoothly.
Burke & Company, LLC's Diversity and Inclusion Panel was formed in 2020. We wanted to ensure that we were participating to the greatest extent possible in diversity as a company and as individuals. As a company, we are a diverse business, we have an affirmative action plan, and we spearhead a diversity group with other diverse businesses, but we wanted to take it further and our diversity and inclusion team is working hard to make it a reality!
