Dave Martin, founder of Russell Martin Carpets, learned the carpet cleaning trade first-hand while working at Russell's Dry Cleaners in downtown Naperville. Dave cleaned rugs and pressed pants at Russell's, while attending North Central College.
During this time Dave learned about fabrics and textiles and how to service them. In addition, Dave learned from Russell what wasn't taught in school: the fine art of customer service. In 1984 Dave, along with his wife Rae, added carpet and rug sales to the business. Our first storefront was behind Naperville North High School.
