Many times over-mature trees begin a process known as "decline" and need to be removed for safety reasons before they cause catastrophic damage to a home, business or a person. Tree removal is not just a simple process of "chopping" limbs to the ground. Knowledge of tree biology, applied physics and the load tolerance of various pieces of equipment are all necessary to perform a successful removal.

A tree trimming does much more than shape overgrown branches and restores attractive shape. It also provides your trees with the strength they need to fight infection and resist storm damage.

In order for a tree to properly perform all of these functions however, we have to make sure that we plant the right tree in the right place.
After a tree removal operation the stump of the tree is still left in the ground. Specialized equipment must be used to "grind out" the remaining portions of the root flare and stump. Typically grinding down to about 4 inches is adequate for the establishment of turf grass over the site, deeper levels of grinding can be achieved if the owner requires.
When trees have been planted improperly, or nearby development alters a tree's growth space, tree topping can become necessary. Tree topping is a form of extreme pruning, where large swaths of branches are removed to alter a tree's growth patterns. Because of the sheer amount of material taken off during tree topping, it's a process that can be extremely stressful to a tree's health.

I used Sal's Treescape service to remove 4 trees from my property. One large tree had roots that covered a 12' radius, the other large tree trunk was 40" wide. There is not a tree that is too big for their crew of professionals to remedy. After cutting them down, they stacked the trunks and branches in the front, for the city to pickup. They stump ground the tree stumps and then leveled the ground. This was a big big job, they brought a second crew to complete the job in one day. The crew is professional, polite, hard working and left my property racked clean. I highly recommend Sal's Treescape
