Recognizing that all beings are fundamentally good and worthy, we work with our minds through the practice of meditation, the anchor of our resilient sanity.
2. We celebrate living in the challenge: balancing personal, professional, and community life as our path. 3. The diversity of people and ideas is integral to the vibrancy of our Shambhala community. 4. We appreciate artistic exploration-a joyful means for connecting with one another and the brilliance of mind.

Sometimes we need to step back in order to move forward. For thousands of years the practice of retreat has been valued across wisdom traditions as a time to step back, take inner care, and reawaken our deepest knowing. Our center offers the vastness, stillness and gentle support that allows you to unwind, unplug, relax, and reconnect to what is of true value in your life.
Our Arts & Creativity retreats and workshops feature writing, poetry, photography, drawing, painting, calligraphy, dance, flower arranging and other disciplines that appreciate the uniqueness of the everyday sensory experience, the "art of everyday life." Contemplative arts and practices bring beauty, vividness and wisdom to our lives and our environment.
Getting the Love You Want is a virtual weekend workshop that provides an in-depth Imago experience for couples in all stages of relationship. This 5-day residential program is an intensive form of the internationally recognized, eight-session Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training developed by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff.
In today's high-paced, high-stress world, each of us has the natural capacity to find peace, clarity, wellbeing and compassion within ourselves. The best means of tapping into this inner capacity is through the use of meditation - a simple practice of coming back to the present moment via the breath, the body and the senses.
In addition to attending retreats here at Shambhala Mountain Center, there are more opportunities to practice close to home at one of the Shambhala Centers or groups located throughout Colorado. You are invited to visit any of these Shambhala Centers along the Front Range. Take a look at this selection of local offerings below, including Level I Shambhala Trainings, youth programs, and special events.

A wonderful hidden gem in the Poudre/Redfeather area. Open daily (including labor day) and free. The stupa is so well maintained, it never has a speck of dirt anywhere. The inside is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of other amenities like the tea house near the stupa, and the gift shop. Workshops and retreats for the more serious/less casual visitor. A lovely place to visit.

A truly sublime area deep in the Colorado mountains. Entire staff from teachers to drivers are deeply thoughtful and welcoming. The property is immaculately maintained, with many of the buildings blending in with the surroundings, lending to the feeling of utter seclusion and solitude. The sunrises are spectacular and the sunsets unforgettable. A transformative experience for anyone that I highly recommend.
