Terribly disappointing experience at one of my favorite stores. Two days after Christmas, I went to return two window candles that I had not needed and was told I couldn't return Christmas items after Dec. 24. Huh? I specifically purchased more than I thought I might need believing full well I could return them. No one mentioned the return policy when I checked out several weeks prior nor was it was noted anywhere on my receipt. That's poor customer service!

Very disappointed in a store where family members spend LOTS of money. I received a gift certificate in the mail because I recently moved and nowhere on it does it state that clearance items aren’t able to be purchased. I will encourage friends and family to simply pick out what they want from the store and then buy it CHEAPER on line. You will be losing lots of money because you won’t accept a $10 gift certificate. My family has money, but I don’t, and apparently this store doesn’t care about satisfying the less than wealthy.

A pretty impressive place! Google brought us to the garden entrance which ended up being quite a pleasant experience even though it was the long way (scenic route). Impressive 2 story store with an elevator. I couldn't find what I needed but all of the associates were friendly and helpful! My mom is a plant nut and saw the garden so... I'm sure we'll definitely be back lol

Very good hardware store as far as that goes, but more than a hardware store. Somewhat of an adventure. Actually worth a touristy visit if you're from out of town. Never saw another store with this selection of indoor & outdoor items for all kinds of purposes, all in one place, with the emphasis on a good selection of hardware. Good place to look for hard-to-find items you want to find *today.* (Don't go when you're broke! You'll be frustrated.)

The garden area is a magical place!
My husband likes the hardware store as well. He is a grill man! I just fall a little more in love each time I walk into the garden area. You absolutely have to check out this place. Set aside an hour or two and shop to your hearts content. I’m thinking Christmas gifts!

Hands-down one of my favorite places to shop in Charlotte. There's no way you will walk through there and not see something you want to take home. Hardware pulls that look like jewelry, animals, fruit, flowers, & more; high-quality custom lawn signs and house signs; chimes; birdhouses,,, kitchen; bath; pet supplies, paint, laundry room, you name it they have it... I can't possibly do it justice here. You have to experience it, and don't forget to check out a few feet away their wonderful garden center!

If you haven't been to Blackhawk, you need to check out the new enlarged store!! I thought they had everything prior to the renovation, now they truly do!! Huge selection of high quality items. If you need an uncommon size bolt/screw or need anything in Stainless, Blackhawk is the place to go. They carry everything you can think of and some very unique items!

Always a good experience with tons of staff offering to help. This time I was looking for a way to fix my smoker's door - the handle had fallen apart and pieces were missing. I took the handle parts to Richard to find the right screw - he actually added threads to the handle and sent me home with a washer that also fit, going above and beyond what I expected!
As always the store has so much and if I didn't need to fix the smoker I would have spent more time just browsing - the renovation means more space and more things to see.

Always puts me in a great mood, I have been going to Blackhawk for years. I actually bring people here when they visit. Always great staff, items you didn't know you even needed. Wish there were more.

This is such a neat little store. I bought my table top grill from them, I had to order it. They are definitely taking this pandemic seriously. I think what I really liked is even though I was wearing a mask the lady at the front recognized me the second time I was there?! I thought that was nice, definitely a family business, wonderful people

Wow, what a great place to shop for hardware , lawn and garden, pet supplies, household gifts and so much more. The store is large with 2 levels and an outdoor garden area. I love the large variety of plants, some I have not seen in other places such as their hibiscus. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plant prices reasonable. I bought some potted herbs and a small hibiscus plant. It's a store I have to come back to because there is so much to see in store and at the garden center

Didn't it always seem like back in the day, the local hardware store was the place to see and be seen? And it also seemed like you could get anything you needed there, even maybe a doctor's visit? Then, as time passed, that almost seemed to all fadeaway.
However, thankfully, Charlotte still has a hardware store that can brag about that. I first heard about Blackhawk earlier in the year, with my sister hyping it up. I was thinking to myself, "what could possibly be so special about this place?"

It's been years since I've been in this CLT landmark location.
I believe it's gotten better since my last visit almost 20 years ago.
A wide variety of household decor and hardware goods and services.
Very upscale and well laid out and easy to find stuff.
They have a large and very professional staff.
Plenty of free parking in the mall lot.

Consider what Whole Foods did for the grocery store industry and Blackhawk is kind of the same thing. It's an Ace Hardware affiliate with a local spin that focuses on service, service, service!
I stop in here occasionally, usually to browse or for something special. For example, their cabinet drawers and knobs department is bigger than some places whole store. They have an entire space dedicated to the Big Green Egg grill. Besides the endless rounds of FREE popcorn, I truly enjoy coming to Blackhawk.
The staff here are insanely nice and friendly and I love that there's someone that will connect with you on each aisle. I've had the privilege of chatting with a few older men who remind me so much of my grandfather. Sweetest and kindest heart but wants to make sure you have all you need for your project. My grandfather passed away over 15 years ago and I miss him daily. But being in Blackhawk reminds me so much of him, especially when I get to speak with a attendant that was around his age.
