Hoppe Tree Service is a family owned Milwaukee area company that has been providing quality tree care for over 4 decades. The original company was started by Dean and Michael Hoppe along with their father Fred Hoppe in 1972 and they specialized in tree pruning and removal services. In 1986 Dean and his wife Lisa took over ownership and worked with their two sons August and Fred Hoppe.
Over the years, the small family business has grown to meet the ever increasing needs of our clients, and now performs a diverse range of services, including tree and shrub pruning, removal, planting, and plant health care programs to keep trees healthy. We have the experienced crew and advanced equipment to handle tree removals of all sizes and complexity with safety and efficiency. Recycling urban trees into beautiful, sustainable live-edge slabs and dimensional lumber for woodworking and building. Visit our Caledonia store soon. We had several large trees blown down, called Hoppe for help, sent some pictures, requested assistance etc. Had immediate and prompt reply and crew scheduled in days.
Harvesting/Tree Removal - Expert tree removal services. When trees have to come down we have the equipment and experience to harvest the logs properly for urban wood use. We'll transport them to our Grafton facility for milling and processing. Transport - Our large array of tree service equipment makes it easy for us to transport logs from your site to our production facility and back again if necessary.
Urban Wood Lab specializes in producing high quality wood products from local urban trees. All of our wood comes from trees that were cut down for a reason other than its timber value. Traditionally, urban wood goes to waste as wood chips or firewood. Urban Wood Lab takes every measure to save beautiful logs and mill them into usable products such as slabs, dimensional lumber, table bases, mantels and more.
With our equipment and expertise we can leave your yard looking like the tree was never there! I needed to have a very large spruce tree removed from my property, close to my home and my neighbor's home. Everything about my experience with Hoppe Tree Service was positive, from setting up an initial visit, getting an estimate, getting the work scheduled, and the work itself as well as cleanup when the work was done. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and I could not have hoped for better service.

Hoppe did an excellent job assessing the need of the tree that needed pruning, explaining to me the process, and providing an accurate estimate prior to me committing the work. The arborist that did the work ensured that it was done satisfactorily and was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend them for tree trimming and pruning.

I had them to remove 4 large trees and trim another. Came at the appointed time and did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. The clean up was excellent. I have used them in the past and would not hesitate to call them again.

Hoppe is easy to work with from the quote to the completion of the job. The staff is friendly and the crew does amazing work. They even clean up! I wouldn't know they were here except that my birch looks amazing and is excited it finally got a (much needed) pruning.
