When we think of Hardscapes, there are 6 main features that come to mind: Hard Surface Patios, Retaining Walls, Free Standing Structures, Water and Fire Features. The one main common thread linking all of these services is that they include formed and poured concrete or natural rock as their main building material.
Outdoor kitchens provide you with the ability to entertain and dine outside with ease. We can build an outdoor kitchen around your needs; which can include grills, outdoor appliances like refrigerators, and counter tops. We also can install bars and customized outdoor dining arrangements. To compliment your outdoor kitchen, we can outfit your yard with lighting to enhance your hardscape.
Our fire elements add instant coziness to your outdoor living spaces. We can install fire pits, fireplaces, and seating so that you can enjoy your hardscape year-round. Our fire elements are built with high quality bricks to withstand heat but provide natural beauty. There are many unique styles and designs for outdoor fireplaces and fire pits such as electric, gas, or traditional wood burning.
We can install multi-level patios, small or large patios, and customize your design. We use high-end bricks, stones, and pavers to provide a sophisticated but natural feeling. Back yards, especially concrete patios, are being transformed into luxurious extensions of the house. They're the new favorite room to relax, entertain, and cook.
Retaining walls have been serving an essential purpose around the world for many centuries and will continue to do so for many more. Lake Norman Hardscapes did an awesome job transforming our backyard from a steeply-graded headache into a multi-spaced area perfect for hosting large gatherings. Mike had a vision for our yard that made space useable while being cost-effective and not sacrificing aesthetics (“this looks like a resort” per one of our guests).
The original grading of our yard was a nightmare to maintain and unsafe for kids to play on. Mike designed a retaining wall that organically followed the property’s shape. On top of the retaining wall, he created a two-tier entertaining space using large paver slabs

Overall my experience with Lake Norman Hardscapes was good. Victor and Michael are great to work with and Victor was incredibly accommodating as we made adjustments on the fly. It's the last mile where they fell short. I made the cardinal sin of making the final payment before some punch list items were finished and now I seem to be stuck finishing those items myself. Overall happy with the finished product but disappointed in the follow through at the end.
