For almost eighty years the Somerset Creamery has been serving high quality fresh ice cream. Family owned and operated since 1937, Somerset Creamery prides itself on rich, homemade ice cream made the old fashioned way. Founded by Victor and Mary Spanick, their first store was called Creamrich and was located on County Street in Somerset.
From the start, the emphasis was on quality natural ingredients and courteous service. During World War II, Mr. Spanick stopped production to serve, but returned to open a shop in Somerset called the Milk Can. Housed in a milk bottle shaped building, the Milk Can was a Somerset landmark for years.

Place smells like heaven inside! The aroma of fresh waffle cones slaps you in the face as soon as you enter the pearly gates. It’s impossible to wipe the smirk off my face. They have a
large selection of flavors which makes it hard to choose. The best route we found is to order several “small” different flavor ice creams and pretend they are for imaginary kids waiting in the car to avoid embarrassment. I have several chocolate stains all over my truck from this place, but it’s well worth the memories.

Really cute creamery with lots of flavors that you can scoop into a waffle come, regular cone or frappe/milkshake. Prices are reasonable and the staff was so sweet and helpful.
I tried the dairy-free vegan black raspberry Oreo and it was a delicious flavor. The consistency was very light which was good but did not resemble real ice cream texture like other dairy-free vegan brands. They have two options right now, both yummy flavors and worth trying.
Everyone else loved their regular ice cream. Happy that they actually have dairy-free vegan options besides sherbet. Thanks!
Oh and it's cash only

Somerset Creamery never disappoints! When my kids were little it was tradition to stop here on the way home from a day at Old Silver Beach. Today I had the peanut butter oreo ice cream in a waffle cone with jimmies. Absolute perfection. My daughter pushed hers up a notch with a chocolate dipped waffle cone. The ice cream is so delicious! People who work there are always super friendly.
