I feel completely awkward on THAT side of the camera. I get crazy eyes and I don't know what to do with my arms. But I also know the importance of pushing past that awkwardness to exist in photos with my family. My favorite photos with my family are when I'm engaged with my kids and not looking at the camera.

A Fresh 48 Session is when I photograph your newborn at the hospital within the first 24-48 hours after they are born. She's friendly, and immediately put our minds at ease. This session wasn't stressful for us, and she was incredibly kind and considerate if we needed a break. Her work was fantastic.
I can attend births at Magee & West Penn as well as homebirths and births at The Midwife Center. I've photographed dozens of births over the last decade+ and I'm proud to be one of the most experienced birth photographers in the Pittsburgh area! We loved working with Mary Beth! This was our first experience with professional photos other than our wedding and we can’t say enough good things about Mary Beth. Booking was easy, she was so great during our photo shoot and the gallery was easy to access and print from! The only thing was having to narrow down our images because we loved them all. Mary Beth is so sweet and we will definitely use her again!

Mary Beth was a joy to work with! She captured beautiful photos of our family welcoming our 3 week old baby into our family, with our highly energetic toddler in tow! Mary Beth was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She responded quickly after I reached out. She recommended waiting a little longer after my son was born for the photoshoot. And we're so glad that we took her advice. We absolutely love all the photos she took. The framing of the shots and the editing were perfect. She was able to capture our family just the way we wanted--a realistic portrayal of everyday life, but just prettier.

My husband and I originally had hired Mary Beth to photograph the birth of our first baby. Due to the birth plan changing, Mary Beth was no longer able to photograph it. So instead we hired Mary Beth to do a newborn family session instead! Mary Beth was so great to work with, from the initial emails, all the way through the photo session and gallery delivery. She was quick to respond, very friendly, and so kind, especially during the time of all our plans changing. We loved having her come over for the newborn session. She worked SO hard and captured beautiful photos that we will cherish forever

So I’m not one to normally to write reviews but the experience we had with Mary Beth is totally worth it and I would recommend her to anyone looking for pictures that aren’t overly staged and that capture our family and life at face value! For a family that doesn’t take many pictures she gave us great advice from the start and her pictures were just amazing. I honestly cried over how wonderful her pictures were of our baby and family. She was so helpful through the whole process and I found her work well worth the price. I will definitely be a repeat customer and I can’t wait to work with

We may not live in Pittsburgh anymore, but Mary Beth is still our favorite photographer! We’ve made the 10 hour trip back to PGH twice in 6 months for family photo sessions, and we will probably be back for more! We first met Mary Beth when we were trying to find a birth photographer. She was extremely flexible and professional, but also very personable. We loved her right away and didn’t see a need to look any further. Our experience with Mary Beth was amazing! We were very happy with how well she communicated by email. Mary Beth is an absolute delight. We had the pleasure of hiring her to take photos of the birth of my 2nd daughter. She was professional and very friendly. I hardly knew she was taking photos while I was in labor. The photos/video she was able to capture for us are breath taking; memories that will last a lifetime! Mary Beth is AMAZING! She was incredibly flexible and understanding when we had multiple things come up that prevented us from doing the Fresh 48 session. We ended up doing a newborn session when our little one was a little older, Mary Beth came to our house and the whole process was very laid back and comfortable. She captured the most BEAUTIFUL pictures that we'll treasure forever. I cannot praise Mary Beth enough for her work. HIGHLY recommend Mary Beth for any of your photography needs. We will definitely be booking her again in the future :)
