As we approach winter, selections of colorful fall shrubs and flowers continue to arrive. The recent rains make planting easy. One of those wonderful anticipated items has arrived. BULBS! Our selection is large and the flowers will be perfect for brightening up gardens, yards and porch pots and urns in the coming year and for many more to come.

The Ridge Road Garden Shop is filled with a wonderful selection of garden gifts and accents, and houses 1600 square feet of unique and often one-of-a-kind glass decor, Ironworks, baskets, vases, garden accessories, statuary, plaques, pots, gemstones, and a variety of house plants. It's always a great time to visit the Ridge Road Garden Center! We have a great selection of seasonal perennials and annuals that will beautify your gardens, no matter the size! There is so much to see. The Southern belles of the plant world, camellias come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes.

Deer will eat anything in your gardens and surrounding areas if they are hungry enough; Deer are always foraging. Since the nursery is located in the Sierra Nevada, we have to garden with deer in mind. With the current fires in neighboring counties and the drought we are experiencing, wild animals including deer are being displaced.

For the perfect late-season bloomer, you can't go wrong with fall mums! The blooms last for weeks, not days, and the sheer number of flowers per plant will convince anyone that this garden favorite really likes to show off. Both florist and garden mums make great container plants.

They're just right for popping into a clay pot, lining up in a row in a fall window box, or placing in the center of a mixed container with trailing foliage plants all around.Whether in a pot or in your garden, mums like lots of light. Mums thrive in full sun conditions as long as you give them enough water.
