The food was okay, but the customer base and employees, not so much. Employees are wearing their masks like chin straps/just not covering their whole mouth/not wearing them, and not requiring customers coming in to wear masks at all. There was some thought as there is plexiglass protecting the person who takes the orders, but even that can only go so far when there's spit spots on the customer-side of the shield.
Overall a pretty below average experience, would never come back.

So we are very picky and we're very surprised that we loved this place. I had the RAJ burger and my husband had the steak in a sack pita. Both We're amazing. The place is a hole in the wall and it does not have the best decor but the food was very very very good. Would recommend for you to try it at least one time.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time! I was in the Avondale area and made it a priority to visit on a Wednesday afternoon. The lot to the right of the business has a good bit of parking, hard to find in this area. The store front isn't anything spectacular, you'd probably drive on by if you weren't looking for this place. But don't drive by, STOP, for goodness sake, STOP here! Upon entering there is a area to the right to wait in line to order and pay, on the wall to the right of you is the menu. I did not like the way the menu is displayed, but I applaud

The Pine Grove is a special little hidden gem that truly cares about the quality of food that they put out to their customers. From their breakfast platters all the way to the cut and cooked Steak dinners! You definitely can't go wrong choosing from the menu. Being in business for more than 60 years as a local butcher turned restaurant really shines through with their Meat options. From the Many Steak choices, Ground Chuck for burger, Thick cut Pork Chops all their choice to make their own breakfast sausage for the breakfast platter and Biscuits & gravy!

I asked my hun, " who has a steak in a Sack with chunks of steak instead of thinly sliced?" He said no one does this (and he usually gets a steak in a Sack at a lot of different places.) I know I had seen somewhere post it before. So after a FB post from PineGrove, I spotted my request and bam... We headed over to see them for lunch. Without any hesitation (I usually take forever to decide what I am having) I ordered this glorious sandwich.

Always a great place to have lunch if you are in the area! They have breakfast too! They are a butcher shop for locals; a good quality butcher shop. The sandwiches are huge and also the salads. This time I got fried shrimp and fish filet... your thinking at a deli/butcher shop? Yes..it isn't everyday they offer this but maybe just Saturdays??. I saw they have a Sunday brunch too. My order was great about 10 shrimp and a 6-8 oz fish filet?!? with Cole slaw and potato salad for $14... it was plenty; I shared with my husband. Wife an I went here for the first time and IT WAS DELICIOUS..! I highly recommend for an afternoon lunch, or just a get out with freinds. Great warm neighborhood enviorment. We sat outside in the tent covered patio. Loved it I had the "Greek" a delicious lamb burger and Wife had the "Nader" a great Roast beef pastrami and taboouli sandwich. SoSo good. A little pricy but very worth it Go there..!

Pinegrove Market and Deli has been around for a long time, how am I just hearing about this place?!?
Looking for something new, and out on shop local Saturday...decided to give this place a whirl....and as soon as we rolled up (on bikes), I knew this place was going to be a hit. The parking lot was full and there was a line (short and moves quickly) out the door.
Nice sized place, some tables and chairs to fill the place up, counter ordering; but they bring food to you, and friendly staff that make you want to go back for more!

If you want a fresh hand grounded burger this is the place. Its a deli, no its a butcher shop, no its a store, its all these in one. Its the place in the neighborhood where the locals goes on Saturday morning for breakfast and conversation. They have great sandwiches with various sides just look on the wall and pick you fav. Wanna a glass of wine with that Croissant or a beer with your steak, no problem.
Don't forget to take home some Hummus and Pita chips...mmmmmm.

My husband says I shouldn't review this place so it doesn't draw anymore people in but I can't help it, Pinegrove Market and Deli is so good! It's a small and cozy place, love that they have old local Lee High yearbooks mixed in with other reading material. The food is outstanding! My favorite is the steak in a sack. My husband likes to try everything and has loved it all so far.
