The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) recommends that a chimney or venting system be cleaned and inspected once a year with normal use. Even chimneys that are rarely used should be inspected minimally once a year to ensure that there are no animals and debris blocking the flue and that all masonry is in good condition and intact.
When we think of a fire in the fireplace, it brings to mind images of comfort, warmth and safety. There is little that compares to the relaxing feeling of sitting by a warm fire in the comfort of your home on a cold night. But, as responsible homeowners, we must never take fire safety for granted. Before you use your fireplace, it is critical that you have a chimney inspection so that you can be sure that your chimney is not a fire hazard.
Chimney and fireplace systems are very complex and there are many things that can become damaged over time. Luckily, some of them are very minor fixes if caught early enough. Leaky Chimney Repair - Water can do immense damage to a chimney system and the home it is attached to. Repairs vary depending on the source of the leak, but it is crucial to have these repairs performed as soon as the issues are discovered.

We have had several people examine our chimney over the years. They all said it had problems. My husband said they just wanted to sell us a bill of goods. Lakeside Chimney examined our chimney, took pictures, and showed us the problems. We had them bring the chimney up to standards. They explained what they were doing, showed us the new liners that were remarkably tough. When they finished they showed us the difference their installments and cleaning made. We are most pleased with the finished product~!

I highly recommend him. He answered calls and texts promptly and showed up when he said he would. On the lake that's saying a LOT!

Did a complete tear out and install of a new chimney flue and fireplace with stone work involved. Brandon did a great job. Was on time and completed the job in a timely manner. It took 3 days but he thought he would be done in 2 but I was very happy. Has a very good knowledge of chimneys and will be my chimney go to person in the future. Would not be afraid to recommend him to anybody.

Have only had Lakeside Chimney out for an estimate so far but was so impressed I thought I would give a initial review. First of all, we had an appointment for 10:00am and I saw the truck pull up at 9:56. I have a thing about punctuality, so...yea! Brandon was so knowledgeable talking through the inspection, explaining his thought process as he went about each area of concern. He spoke about different options we could take and about how long we had before we saw more problems in what he was seeing. The guy knows his profession and I am looking forward to seeing his finished product!
