Simms Steakhouse

I came here for happy hour. This place has nice views on the deck. The appetizers were just okay in my opinion.

We celebrated our wedding here with 14 people total. Our server Christine was amazing! The food was cooked to perfection. Note: no changing stations for babies in the bathroom. Thankfully, an employee was kind enough to bring me something to lay my child on while I changed her. I called the next day to speak to a manager because I had a few questions about some things and his response was sub par to what you would expect from a manager. Whether you’re right or wrong, there are ways to express that without sounding like a you know what.

We had a Thanksgiving Day reservation, showed up on time, sat at 7:15pm. The waitress gave us menus but did not say anything else.
Right away you could tell that everyone working there had a long day, and I get that, but it did not seem like personal service.
By 7:30pm, our waitress came by and let us know that the normal menu did NOT apply, and that there was a buffet option ONLY that night.
This was a pretty BIG disappointment as nothing prior had mentioned that this was a buffet style menu, NOTHING online, nothing at the time of making the reservation, nothing at the time of confirmation prior

I was a little hesitant to try Simms with some of the reviews, but I’m sure glad I did. We were seated with an outstanding view of the city, which added to the ambiance and remodeled look. Our waiter (wish we got his name) was very attentive, engaged, and went the extra mile to help us navigate the menu. I elected to go with the Waygu Beef Filet Minion with 8 scallops on the side- I’ve never tried Waygu other than through a burger, so it seemed worth trying and I’m sure glad that I did. We had our Christmas party here, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with respect. The hostesses walked us to our table taking into consideration that three people in our group were disabled, the hostess walked slowly so as to not leave behind everyone on our party.
At the table, we ordered appetizers and bread, we could have eaten the bread and appetizers all night, but we opted to eat slowly while waiting for our steaks to arrive.
When they did and we started eating-the steak was phenomenal, the scalloped potatoes except and the creamed corn delicious.

Very good food. The waiter took a while to greet us at our table, but everything was good very fresh green beans. We cleaned our plates. Make reservations guys! Beautiful aesthetic and we even got to sit along the window for a view.

We dined with a view of Denver and saw the full moon rising in October. We were celebrating a nine year old birthday! Our appetizers were delicious- Especially the calamari. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the side items- Mashed potatoes brussels sprouts and mushrooms were excellent. The birthday boys dessert was fabulous! I highly recommend the steakhouse for special occasions :-)

Sunday brunch is disappointing- they can't keep up with the crowd so most of the food was empty and you had to keep hounding someone to get them to replenish. For $40 not worth it.

I cannot believe.it.took me 26 years to visit. I went during happy hour and my date and I shared calamari starter with an incredible sauce, and the crab cakes. Just wonderful and the staff attentive and awesome.

Visiting my daughter from out of town for Thanksgiving. Simms had a holiday buffet. We spent 2 hours eating a fabulous meal. The view was spectacular. The staff were most attentive and courteous. The whole experience was one to appreciate and remember.

The atmosphere, food, and service were all wonderful. It was my mother's birthday and the server made it a very special occasion. We will definitely be back!

It was a pretty high price for what I thought would be a nice restaurant... The steak was pretty decent... The starter dishes we had the peppered tuna, And the crabcakes... the tuna had so much wasabi sauce on it you couldn't taste anything but wasabi.. The crabcakes were just kind of bland and not very good... The chicken looked amazing but was super dry and almost crispy like it was fried on the outside... They had a weird sauce on it that I didn't heat but it was all over the mashed potatoes and made the mashed potatoes not very good... There was no flavor seasoning with the asparagus

Expected great food, received even better service. Dropped by here on a bit of a whim, partaking in drinks, appetizers and filet mignon entrees for myself and an old friend.

I took the family here for Sunday brunch. For the three of us the bill was just over $100 with the tip. All the staff are professionally dressed and behaved. The coffee was a little week but the mimosas were not. They had roast beef, an omelette station, crab legs and shrimp. The rest of the spread was pretty common for breakfast/brunch. Because this place is a little pricey I wouldn't recommend it as an every week outing but a once in a while treat. The price of this brunch also prevents this place from being over crowded and provides a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. I also don't recommend

We are here for our first time last month and were not disappointed! The food was great, I had a filet and my wife ordered Prime Rib. The service was good, attentive but not too much.

Food was so good and our waitress Jenna was outstanding! The view is amazing at night! Would definitely recommend coming here

I'm blown away! I visited roughly two years ago and had a horrible experience. I emailed the manager, Anthony, and two years later, he fulfilled his promise of making my next visit better. Oddly enough, I came to visit as a new vegan and still found some options for myself. I ordered a baked potato with chives and olive oil, green beans, and asparagus. My boyfriend ordered the salmon and said it was melt in your mouth delicious!

I have to add, the imagery wine was so so so good. I recommend that for those who love a red wine. This restaurant has drastically improved and I am very grateful

Simms has maintained the lost art of what a steakhouse should be! Simply warm and inviting the moment you enter, with a Fabulous low bar, pouring well rounded drinks served with a genuine smile. Lovely wait-staff and a well-planned menu to guide you to a blissful palate you will long remember.

Very good meal for everyone at the table. The taste of the food match the prices. You will not feel like you have overpaid once to food touches your lips.

This review is from the perspective of a wedding party member who attended a post wedding dinner here. Our friends got married and this was where the reception and dinner took place afterwords. At first I was impressed by the appetizer area. They had the appetizers set up for us when we arrived and they were delicious. There wasn't really a designated server or person around to tell us what to do or where to go which was a bummer. Should be a 4-5 star place. I was on a short visit to Denver and wanted a nice meal one night. Simms offers an amazing view of downtown Denver, select cuts from local CO sources, and very nice ambience. I had the Buffalo filet wrapped in bacon. I was concerned the bacon would be making up for the lack of filet cut but the Buffalo was cooked medium rare, soft, melted in my mouth and was one of the best Buffalo filets I've had in Denver. The reason for the three stars is the lack of service. Service was slow at end of the night when I was there with the place not busy. One of servers was new
