I was told this place is amazing, so my husband and I decided to check it out.
-We started at the bar, as we had a small wait. I ordered an Alabama Slammer as I like sweet drinks. I am definitely a lightweight, as I usually only finish about 1/4, at most 1/2 of a drink, before feeling "warm". The drink I received was actually a fuzzy navel. I was able to drink the full drink and feel absolutely nothing. The liquor is very watered down as my husband stated that he watched the liquors that were added to the beverage and I should have reacted in my normal fashion. $10 for this. My husband

Went with a coworker here last Friday for dinner. I treated. Our bill was $42.60 and they charged me $42.60 tip on top of it. The food was alright, but I would never tip the order amount. Now they will get no tip because I disputed everything but the total bill after they refused to fix it when I called today. I normally tip 20% and 25% for good service. Mediocre food and subpar service does not warrant a tip the same price as the meal. Jerks.

Mediocre is the name of the game at Kiko's. I would have given them three stars but my margarita was super watery, the dish I was told was vegetarian wasn't and the silverware wasn't particularly clean. On the plus side the waitstaff, while stretched very thin, was very nice.

We usually go about once a month. Service gets slower & slower every time, however the food is always good...until our visit yesterday. We waited 15 minutes for a table, which was ok, until it took another 15+minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. Then 10 more minutes to receive the drinks/chips & to place our order. I got the #1, as usual. 20 minutes later we finally got our food. My enchiladas were room temp & the taco/chalupa were cold. Beans & rice were Luke warm. I would have sent the order back, but the waitress disappeared. Probably just as well. Had I returned

Went in and placed a to go order for a sick friend . So I figured I would just pick up dinner for my boyfriend and myself too. I was missing our fajitas. So when I called to let them know they seemed like they didn't believe me. I'm a business owner too I know mistakes happen but they kept say no we put it in your order. I spent 82$ on the plates and I wish they would have not made me feel like I was lying.

TL;DR: Good tasting food, okay service, really the best? Edit: Get the Sweet Tea with Extra Lime
Everytime I come to Corpus Christi, I eat here at least once. But after the first time, it's lost its luster every single time. The restaurant is enormous with a very high occupant capacity, usually being crowded. The menu selection is very limited, I'm sure is due to its crowd capacity, making it easier to serve more people with less options. Outside of the large mural by back wall closest to the kitchen, the interior decor, and carpet is dated. The service is usually decent, however, for as busy

As we asked around town everyone said to come to kiko's it is the number one Mexican restaurant in the area and we were not disappointed. They had some of the largest portions I've ever seen including the largest taco shell I have seen!! The flavor was right on and the whole place was busy. This place is a must-try,!

The food is nasty, the service is even worse, and the restaurant itself is filthy on the inside. I do not recommend this restaurant!

The owner is soooo disrespectful my family ordered beef fajita taco's and received chicken fajita taco's so my sister called back and told the manager what happened and the manager just didn't want to deal with her so the owner picked up the phone and started talking extremely rude. The owner stated his workers do not make mistakes and did not resolve the issue and did not refund the money. I don't care how good your food is, it's the customers who make the restaurant not just the food. It's very disappointing to know that the owner does not value his customers

One of the best Mexican restaurants that I have been too. Was originally worried about the wait to get a table but was happily surprised when it was only about 15 minutes to get a table for 5. Kind staff and great food (the refried beans are a must)

We come to Padre Island at least two - three times per year. We usually stop at Kikos for lunch each time were down. We were there on Monday 8/9 and the service and food were not good. Waitress was not having a good day and she showed it. Waitress forgot several bowls of food, did not bring the right plates of food did not bring plates for our fajitas. One of our party did not get their food until the rest of us were done with our meal. When did fajitas not come with sour cream, guacamole and cheese? Waitress did not bring any of these condiments?
The waitress went and got the night

Unbelievable wait time. Although the food is excellent, the wait time is beyond ridiculous!!
Open tables, but the hostess consistently tells the waiting guests there are no tables!!!

Don't mislead your guests, just be honest!!!
Pretty simple!!

This place will not make a margarita from scratch! It's all from a powder mix!?!? Yuck. They don't have tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. The manager told me they are all pre-made from powder and she didn't know what Cointreau is. I'm not going to drink the toxic waste they offered me. And why would I order food here. What else is pre-made and comes from a premixed package! 0 stars. Update. Website says the margaritas are $1 during happy hour but my friends were charged $6.50! Apparently there is a new website that does not say there is a happy hour. No happy hour due to Covid

This place is beyond bad. Waited 2 hours for a table at the "best Mexican place in town" finally got seated and experienced the worst service south of the Red River. Chili-con-queso consisted of reheated velveta and no meat. Mexican special meal was covered in Wolf brand Walmart chili and no seasoning. Waited ages for food to come out at all different times. In fact I'm still here right now and one of our party still hasn't been served. Taco Bell is light years better.

Definitely one of my favorites spots in Corpus Christi. Kiko's Mexican restaurant has been doing Tex Mex right for many years. My go to is the Kiko's special. A serving of fajitas (your choice of beef, chicken or mixed) one chalupa one cheese enchilada and beans and rice. All this at a reasonable price of 13 bucks. The food is delicious, consistent tasty and fast. I have never had a bad experience at KiKo's. Keep up the great work KiKo's. I will be back.

Would give 1 star if not for very kind waitress. We started with fried mushrooms and queso. The mushrooms were battered but lacked a beer battered flavor - overall, passable but the queso was clearly just melted Velveeta cheese... gross.

Also ordered #1 which was a taco, a tostada, a cheese enchilada and a beef enchilada+rice and retried beans.

If I were to close my eyes and do a side by side taste test versus a Swanson TV dinner I'm not sure I could tell the two apart. Again gross

Afterward dinner, I went to the bathroom only to discover the filthiest bathroom I've ever seen at

Party for 2 during lunch hour. We were sat within 15 minutes. Social distancing is observed, hand sanitizer is available for your use, employees wear masks and you are to wear your mask to your table. Ordered 2 lunch combos and they gave use chips and salsa for the table. Food tasted very fresh but the rice was a little undercooked. Our waitress was awesome! Thank you for the great service, Tommy.

Ummmmm. Maybe the low star people didn't eat at THIS Kiko's. Group had the gent's plate (it's fried, be warned), shrimp tacos, and the carne guisada. Tortillas were handmade here. Beans and rice-- can't stop. Margaritas were a solid 7 (but too sweet, whether blended or on the rocks) but the salsa! Definitely will be back!

In the past, whenever we vacationed in Corpus Christi TX, one of the first restaurants we ate at WAS Kiko's. Last week Wednesday August 26, 2020, we went there with our family for dinner. Our party consisted of eight adults and one child. When finally seated in the back dining area, the server gave us our drinks. We then waited, waited, waited, and waited to order our meals. After more than 15 minutes, the server came and took our orders. Roughly, 30 minutes later our food arrived. My wife and I ordered something called the "Taco Supreme" that consisted of two taco bowls shell filled

Whatever you do Do NOT Order The Tripas(Tripe) In Any Way. They Do NOT Clean Them And They Still Have Fecal Matter Inside Them. I'm sorry but we will not ever visit this restaurant again ever.
Marcus: In regards to your reply, I know exactly what tripas are. When I brought it to your waiters attention, he stated that they haven been doing a good job at cleaning the intestines lately as we can ALL see in the pictures below. I am Mexican and I know the full process of cleaning out intestines since I have done it my self in the past and have seen other people do it. It's quite and extensive process

Pro:
Food was delicious
Chips, salsa, and queso was fresh
Tortillas homemade and fluffy
Enchiladas were good

Con:
Took 25 min to get our food

Our table was sticky, I had to put a little water and wipe it down myself

The margaritas are $6.50 and literally one gulp. They were so small, not strong, and a waste of money, and packed with ice.

We also asked for draft miller lite but the waitress said "oh we ran out!" We ended up getting a bottle.

The waitress was a good server I have to give her that, but you could also tell she was annoyed. Not sure If she was supposed to be
