While the name of the City's broadband utility was important, what mattered most was the feeling and image we created around that name. Through research, development, and launch of the Loveland Pulse brand, Slate helped us tell our story. The efforts we have collaborated with Slate Communications have proven effective to welcome visitors who are more likely to respect our cherished public lands, enjoy our community vibe and become future return visitors, residents or business owners in Fruita.

Driven by the need to support economic development and lower-income residents in their community, City administration and Council set out to build a broadband service. From the initial feasibility study to installation, here's how a community-focused approach kept their future customers on-board, informed and excited.
The City of Fruita, Colorado's tourism committee put their locals' stories front and center to differentiate and promote their City as a unique destination and recreation hub. To an outsider, Colorado destinations may all seem the same. Mix a bit of mountains with a historic twist, outdoor recreation opportunities complimented by tasty food and beer.
A City Budget reflects the culmination of hard work and further demonstrates the application of key priorities through projects. We know these budget books are created for staff and electeds, but how do we share this information with residents in a more concise manner? We worked with City of Modesto staff to create a more versatile piece that was impossible to ignore.
