As the EHS Manager, you will report to a General Manager who is over several Houston area plants. You will focus on building up the EHS program at a site with a focus on long term safety culture change. There is strong environmental support from a corporate resource team in Houston so this position will be 80% focused on Safety.
You will provide day to day support Operations and Process Engineering support to one of the production lines at a specialty chemical plant in the Baton Rouge area. There is freedom to come up with new ideas (pilot plant on site) and they have capital to pursue improvement ideas.
This role reports directly to the Site Manager and you will have the opportunity to be involved in business meetings and see the big picture of the business in addition to running the units.Work closely with operators and plant personnel to provide day to day support to the chemical production units.
