The community of Santa Barbara restaurants combines excellent food and an ingrained regional sense of casual luxury and hacienda hospitality. The mild climate and idyllic views make alfresco dining an enticing option virtually all year long. With more restaurants per capita than most cities in the world, Santa Barbara promises to dazzle your palate no matter what kinds of flavors you crave.
Mission Santa Barbara was the tenth of the California missions to be founded by the Spanish Franciscans. Padre Junipero Serra, who founded the first nine missions, had died 2 years earlier. Serra had planned to build this mission, raising the cross at the presidio of Santa Barbara in 1782. It was Padre Fermin Francisco de Lasuen, his successor, who raised the cross here and placed Padre Antonio Paterna, a companion of Serra, in charge.
Downtown Santa Barbara features world-class shopping, from major retailers to unique local specialty shops and boutiques. Explore along outdoor paseos, beautifully landscaped plazas, and brick-lined sidewalks for a truly memorable shopping experience. The world's most passionate shoppers understand something non-shoppers don't: shopping isn't about going into as many stores as you can and making as many purchases as financially possible.

We had a wonderful stay. Absolutely fantastic location, and amazing value. Very friendly service when we checked in, and we were placed in a newly renovated room that was lovely. We had to leave a night early, and the hotel manager was kind enough to accommodate us and not charge the remaining night. Cannot wait for our next stay!

A lovely motel, clean and well cared for rooms, great staff, and Absolutely perfect location. We had a wonderful time in Santa Barbara thanks to the always available free bicycles (with helmets, baskets and locks) to take on the beautiful ocean front bike path. Just a minute or two walk to Cabrillo onto the ocean path, Stearn’s Wharf, the Marina, as well as the restaurants and shops and bars on State Street. The staff is always smiling and helpful. We never needed to drive. Everything is nearby and an easy walk or bike ride. And don’t miss the warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon in

We were here last weekend. The place is so close to the beach. Maybe a 3-5 minutes walk. The best part is, when my daughter and wife got to the beach, there was cove so there’s no waves and then later, there were dolphins in the cove. My daughter has a blast. Close to nice restaurants but they don’t accept take out. Only dine in. I had to go 2 miles to find a place that accepts take out.
We were booked in room 20, there were 2 queen beds and a sofa with pull out. It also had a small patio. Place was big enough for a family of 4.
Staff very friendly and thank you for the hot chocolate late

Took my 90 yr old Mom, brother and sister for a relaxing 4 day trip. Lovely property, friendly, helpful staff. Left a power cord in room, Kevin called to confirm and then mailed it out. I received it in two days. That is service above and beyond!
Close to restaurants and the beach. Great walk to the pier, perfect weather.

This place is absolutely adorable. My husband and I booked the jacuzzi king room and it was perfect. My family stayed in various other rooms on the property as well. The rooms were all very clean and comfortable. We sat outside in their courtyard and were able to socialize with some wine and food. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, and it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach and pier. It was a lovely stay and we can't wait to go back!

My husband and I decided to take a trip up the California coast and a family member recommended the Marina Beach Motel. Our stay felt like we were at home. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The motel has bikes you can checkout at no charge and the process to do so is like you are asking a friend to borrow their bike. The continental breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are small, but embracing. The facility is meticulous, location incredible and the price point unbeatable for the area. The staff genuinely want you to have a wonderful time. Thank you Chris for insisting on pulling
