Services
Dr Rai has performed two implants and two extractions on me. I regard him as a top notch oral surgeon, with impeccable surgical technique; but he is also an inciteful diagnostician. My experience with his office personnel matches his professional excellence, also. I highly recommend him for anyone needing oral surgery, but also as a second opinion, before undergoing oral surgery elsewhere.
After your oral surgery, you'll be sent home with a detailed list of instructions on how to properly care for your teeth and gums. It is common to experience some discomfort, bleeding, and swelling, and we will provide you with prescription medication and home care advice on how to best deal with these issues.
Your jaw is too small. One of the most common reasons why the wisdom teeth become impacted is because there is not enough space in the jaw to accommodate all 32 teeth. Your teeth are blocked by soft tissue or bone, which is preventing them from erupting through the gums. For many people, there just is not enough space in the jaw to accommodate all 32 teeth.
Grinding and clenching your teeth. Also called bruxism, the act of grinding and clenching puts excessive amounts of pressure on your teeth and jaw. This pressure can wear away the jawbone, causing the teeth to become loose. The posts, typically made from titanium, are surgically placed into your jawbone.
The bone around your teeth, known as the alveolar ridge, is an important part of your oral health. Damage to the alveolar ridge can affect the stability and function of your existing teeth. It can also affect your chances of receiving Dental Implant treatment for a missing tooth. At Rai Oral Surgery & Dental Implants we offer bone grafting to restore deficiencies in your alveolar ridge and improve your oral health.

I’ve never ever had a good experience at a dentist or oral surgeon until today. The entire staff is kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The process of the extractions was incredibly smooth, and they made sure I was relaxed and adequately sedated. I don’t remember anything about the extraction or bone graft. I have nothing bad to say about this office or Dr. Rai. I wish I could give more than 5 stars… SO grateful I chose this office.

Prior to my daughter’s procedure, Dr. Rai’s office staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Unlike, other offices that I’ve dealt with previously, they were always happy to answer all of my questions and they were extremely knowledgeable about insurance coverage. On the day of my daughter’s procedure, Dr. Rai was caring and understanding. Additionally, he explained everything in detail himself before and after her surgery. Dr. Rai even called to check on her personally the following day. In this day and age, it’s rare to have the doctor go the extra mile to make sure the patients

I recently had a molar pulled at Rai Oral Surgery and was pleased, relieved, and grateful at how well everything went. I am anxious about any dental procedure and they made my concerns and comfort a priority. During the procedure I was sedated, monitored, and slept through the entire thing. I don’t recall feeling any discomfort and I believe the team took great care of me. The procedure went perfectly and the recovery is going well too. From my first consultation through my discharge/ home care instructions, I was given all the information I needed and all my questions answered. Everyone was

My son recently had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Rai. The whole process was easy to schedule and went very well. Dr. Rai has a very caring bed side manner and made sure all our questions were answered. He assured us he would take good care of our son. He personally called a few days later to check on him. His staff was equally kind, helpful and compassionate. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Rai and his staff are amazing! My daughter had to have her wisdom teeth out. The staff is so nice, and Dr. Rai was also very personable. He took the time to talk to her and make her feel comfortable. He even called to check on her a few days after the surgery. He called, not his staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone finding themselves in need of an oral surgeon. Dr. Rai and his staff need to be the business model for how a medical office should run.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Shaun Rai's practice. I needed all four of my wisdom teeth removed at the ripe age of 31. I was putting it off (bad idea) for so long due to anxiety about the surgery and healing.
Dr. Rai and his staff were absolutely amazing. They are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Dr. Rai was very forward with me, letting me know there's a chance of surgical complication due to how developed my wisdom teeth were. The surgery was a complete success and the subsequent healing was not nearly as bad as I thought it would

Very nice practice and smooth experience. I was referred by my dentist to have my wisdom teeth out. I’m over 40 so my mouth is more developed than when most people have theirs removed, so there was more to consider in the procedure. Dr Rai took time to explain his thoughts and recommendations, and it gave me total confidence in his knowledge and ability. The procedure went great, and a week later I’m healing w no complications. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. The assistants and Dr. Rai were very comforting and made me feel relaxed. The surgery as much as I had, ( multiple teeth removed ) was was very smooth and uneventful. I thought my healing would have taken a lot longer, the next day I was up and around doing my normal. This is the best oral surgeon in the country. Google it, he’s #4. Way to go Dr Rai and team.
