Services
Bartica Group offers high-quality square-sawn timber produced from Norway Spruce on modern high-tech mills located in Vologda and Archangelsk regions of Russia. Only legally harvested, FSC certified and ecologically pure wood is used for our sawn timber materials. We offer sawn lumber of various metric sizes, made of Norway spruce and certified according to grade 1-4 (S/F) GOST 26002-83 Russian standard.
Rough sawn lumber is wood cut from large logs, and comprises a large amount of lumber coming from our sawmills in Russia (Vologda/Arkhangelsk regions). Rough cut lumber is un-planed and often used by woodworkers because it's much less expensive than finished lumber, which must be planed to a smooth and flat surface before it can be sold.
To meet our Customers demand for housing and building materials, Black River Mill produces, Bartica imports and sells quality forest products from Northern forests of Russia. Dressed lumber is always available at our warehouses across the US East Coast ensuring deliveries by truck or containers in any destination within US territory to the full customer satisfaction.
Siberian larch is a beautiful softwood, grown in the Baikal region of Russia. The Baikal region has vast stands of natural old growth forests which produce some of the finest softwoods in the world, including Angara pine, Siberian cedar and larch, spruce and fir. This region has very short growth seasons so the timber products from this region are exceptional for strength, hardnesss and durability.
Grows in a Harsh Climate - Siberian Larch can reach a height of 25m to 40m and a diameter of 60cm or more. The tree grows in the East and partly in Western Siberia (Lake Baikal area). The climate in which Siberian Larch grows is defined as extreme continental, meaning short hot summers and long cold winters.
