Cal West Home Inspectors are certified by InterNACHI. The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors is the world's largest non-profit inspection association. As such, our inspectors have undergone rigorous training in home inspection, ethics, and Standards of Practice. Cal West Inspectors are required to take continuing education courses each year to keep current with the requirements of InterNACHI, and the home inspection industry.

We do pre-purchase inspections for all types of buyers, whether it's your dream home or an income property. We also work with home sellers, conducting pre-sale inspections so there are no unpleasant surprises when putting your home on the market.
The InterNACHI Standards of Practice state that "a general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector."
InterNACHI has specific Standards of Practice for commercial inspections. Cal West Home Inspection follows these Standards completely. Our commercial inspections are done in two parts: a research segment, and the physical inspection. The research segment includes the review of documents such as building plans, fire-prevention plans, permits, and Certificates of Occupancy.

Professional. Thorough. Reasonably priced. These are the top items I thought of in writing this review. I’ve dealt with several home inspection service providers and really glad I met Ken and his team a few years back. This review is long overdue, but now realize a lot of people do rely on reviews to know if a certain service is worth the time and cost. After you experience how he works, you’ll see that nothing escapes him and you’ll have a good sense of the property you’re buying and make you aware of real concerns when he spots them. I don't normally write reviews but Ken deserves to be acknowledged for his great work. He was very professional and extremely thorough when he inspected a townhome in Huntington Beach that I was going to buy. He was available, reasonably priced, and inspected the place like he was buying it. His explanations and breakdown of the report were very helpful and informative. I will recommend him to friends and family and would definitely hire him again.
