As my long-time crush John Mellencamp sings, "I was born in a small town." And it's true, a Midwestern town of slightly more than 1,200 people; I think I was related to most of them. It is perhaps because of this upbringing and my sense of community that people mean the world to me. Whether that be my clients, my trusted partners and vendors or my friends and family, I value my relationships and all the people I have met along the way.

I rely greatly upon my husband, my siblings and my parents, who continue to provide me inspiration and support well into their golden years. I find something to treasure in every relationship. My sense of design began at a young age. Some may remember that in the early '70s, it was all about wallpaper.

We believe that powerful design is fundamental to any compelling communication and that a creative team must commit to its own set of fundamentals.
I am not sure if it is the Italian upbringing, the west coast influence or the time spent up and down the east coast from Buffalo, NY, to Richmond, VA and did I mention the time spent opening offices all over Texas! These are the places that have influenced me, but let's talk about what I think is fun.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela to an Italian mother and a Cuban father, who urged me toward the United States to learn English soon after I graduated high school. My father's one-year experiment became the next chapter of my life. I fell in love with the Windy City and attended Chicago's Illinois Institute of Technology where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Design.
Clean and uncluttered. I wish this described my kids' bedrooms-it most definitely does not-but fortunately I'm able to exercise my love of simplicity and order through design. I know I'm in the right spot because long before I knew design was a career, I was doing it for fun. Drawing. Doodling. Playing on paper.
My interest in art and design began at an early age with an appreciable love of color and balance. I spent my college years embracing my interests while studying at the School of Media Arts & Design at James Madison University. After graduation, I burnished my skills in Washington, DC, at Burson-Marsteller and eventually rejoined forces with Stacey after she opened her own firm in Alexandria.
