Rhyolite was established in 1905 when traces of gold were found in the nearby Bullfrog Hills. It featured churches, banks, hotels, a school and even an opera house-evidence of the high hopes the residents had for this budding metropolis.
Death Valley National Park is located between the Amargosa Desert in Nevada and the Inyo National Forest in California. It's famous for being one of the hottest, driest and lowest regions on Earth, featuring scorching summer temperatures of over 120 degrees Fahrenheit and an elevation of 282 feet below sea level.
The town of Rhyolite, Nevada was established in 1905 when traces of gold were found in the nearby Bullfrog Hills. But when Rhyolite failed to flourish in the gold rush era, this community of "high hopes and dashed dreams" crumbled into the timeworn ghost town that entrances visitors today.
In 1904, the discovery of gold in the Bullfrog Mining District spurred the creation of numerous "gold rush towns" that attracted prospectors and speculators from surrounding areas.Rhyolite was the largest and most elaborate of these towns, featuring its own railway station, churches, banks, hotels, a school and an opera house.

The road noise pretty much disappears after a couple of hours. The gentleman who checked me in took the time to walk out to my spot and show me the ropes. It's a nice little spot outside of town that is great for people who enjoy being left alone. The price was right and I would definitely stay again.

I stayed at this park a few weeks ago and it was fine. I returned two days ago as I had to wait out a big storm before going over the pass. First, I asked if they had wi fi (which it clearly says on the sign that they do), and the very grumpy old man said no, the owner was trying to sell the place and canceled it. I wasn't devastated as the wi fi rarely works at these parks anyway. I settled in for the night, which was all fine. I was never told that there was a hard check out at 11. I had a zoom that started at 11, and one minute into it the grumpy dude was banging on my door. I was a bit

Beatty RV Park is a great value at $25 per night. It's nothing fancy, that has 50 amp power water and sewer and ample space for rvs. It may not be a place I want to spend weeks at, but for a night as we are traveling through it's perfect! There's some good eating spots, a famous nut and candy store, Denny's restaurant, vfw. We love watching the wild donkeys at Beatty also.

As RV parks go in the middle of central NV, this has every you need for a comfortable stay including 50 amp hook up. $25/ night is a fair price for the most slept of Nevada. Close enough to casino and food and a great jumping off location for getting out and exploring Nevada's secret treasures...just leave what you find.

This is a good overnight stop if you're traveling from Yosemite or Reno to Vegas or vice versa. It's not a homebase park for seeing the sights...No picnic tables, no fire rings, no trees / shade around the RVs. A typical dirt lot for RVs in Nevada.
Friendly staff. Clean laundry room. Full services (except WiFi which we have learned that all these parks advertised but don't really have... Their typical line when you asked for the password is that the Wi-Fi is down today). Great price.
We were the last of a bout 10 overnighters to leave the park at 8 AM everybody else was gone

Okay, although there are several RV parks in Beatty, this one is the best pick. Clean, comfortable, accommodating, and, best of all, after a long hot miserable drive up from vegas, (with 2 yes i said two) flat tires, friendly and welcoming. Thank you Mike. Does Death Valley hotel & RV park look nice? Yes. But instead of an oasis, it turned out to be a mirage. Hotel has no connection at all with RV park, so they need to change their signs.

This is a small park with a few permanent residents but well maintained. The sites are gravel and called pull-thrus but they are set up one in front of the other. So if there is someone in the first row in front of you - you will need to back out of your site. For those of us with a tow-dolly this is impossible without unhooking everything first and re-hooking it all back up. Be sure to ask when you make your reservations. There is some road noise from the highway - even at night. The sites are pretty narrow. We had full hookups and no issues with them. WiFi was weak, our Verizon signal was good

What a wonderful place to stop for the night. We weren't quite sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The place is nice, easy to get into and it's clean!
When we first drove in we were met with a smiling face and she walked us to our site. We didn't even have to get up and never had to unhook.
Again, what a great place and for $25 a night, it would be hard to beat it anywhere. Loved this stop.

This is a small no frills park. Dirt roads with level sites. We have a 32 foot motorhome so we had to unhook but there was room to park our car next to the picnic table. The park is clean and the person checking us in was friendly and helpful. The park is quiet but there is road noise from Hwy 95 that settles down at night. We drove 3 miles into Beatty after dinner and had ice cream at a nut/candy shop there which was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Was RV'ing with my girlfriend and her family before Christmas and decided to stay here during our travels to Death Valley. We all agree that Beatty RV Park was a wonderful place to stay! The owner was so sweet and inviting as we made our reservations and even helped us park. The park isn't very luxurious and is quite quaint, but that's how we prefer it. The 2 restrooms were very nice and clean. Beatty RV Park has all the hook ups needed and there is wi-fi. It was the quiet, small town feel we all love and appreciate. Look forward to staying again!
