Auto Works
Whether you have a foreign or domestic car or truck, a hybrid or electric vehicle, we have the experience, knowledge, training, and certifications to handle it all. We do repairs of all kinds and are experts at routine maintenance for even specialized cars and trucks. All work was explained so that I could understand.

I appreciate that they stayed in touch the whole time my van was in the shop, nothing was a surprise in the end. As always, I was treated with great customer service and consideration. More important even than how I felt as a customer of Autoworks: They fixed my car in a very timely way, found a way to save me some money, and vacuumed the interior, which really needed it.

My check engine light was on and I want to have whatever was wrong fixed. After five days, two visits, and nearly $300 only the diagnostic testing was done and the car could not be fixed in what I thought was a timely fashion. I had to go out of town and arranged to have it fixed in Spokane promptly. This is what I originally wanted and I think the crew was polite and honest but expensive and very very slow.

I returned 3 times for a power issue on my BMW X5 SUV over a period of months. They did charge and replace the battery under warranty at cost, but failed to diagnose the issue. And they charged for other repairs such as a electrical draw test and looking for oil leaks, which ran about $400 each time. What concerns me the most is I told them about water pouring out when I opened the back door behind the driver seat and that via Google/YouTube I discovered the likely cause was a plugged sunroof drain. They said they'd look when I first called, but after the repair they admitted they had not

I waited so I could test drive my 1965 VW Bug to make sure I was steadfast in my review. I went to drive my Bug and had "no brakes".
Since I am new to the area AutoWorks was the only mechanic I could find to work on my Bug. I went through Taran who has had and worked on older VW's. The whole brake system had to be replaced. As any antique auto buff will tell you finding parts for a 54 year old vehicle is no easy chore. Autoworks had my VW for a while but they found the parts and now after driving my Bug I am feeling safe and enjoying cruising around. That being said I will trust

Very professional service from estimating, scheduling and performing repairs. I have had zero surprises and have been very happy with the work they have done for me on two different vehicles. I would recommend to everyone.

Dee and Travis went above and beyond to ease my anxiety and accommodate my vehicle. Service was exceptionally fast, thorough and reasonably priced. If I ever have car trouble again, Auto Works is absolutely where I'll go.

My first experience with AutoWorks yesterday was worth signing up to write a review. I had a mysterious loud clunking noise that came on suddenly, and I called AutoWorks to help. They said come by and let us take a look, and they spent nearly an hour investigating the noise. Turned out to be a large rod stuck in the tire that was banging against the rim - they really sluethed it out! AutoWorks did not charge me for the time, and then called to the Les Schwab Tire store next door to arrange for a tire fix. Of course Les Schwab did not charge me either - and I was clunk-free in less than two hours

The wonderful folks at AutoWorks are my husband's and my new best friends! Our Dodge Durango was undrivable, due to a serious transmission/ problem. Bummer, because we couldn't tow our 23-foot trailer back home to Seattle without it! While Port Townsend isn't the worst place to be stuck in, we were in a pickle and didn't know where to go for help. My local friend Anna suggested we go to AutoWorks. Owner Mark DuMond made time in his shop's very busy schedule to diagnose the problem. He went the extra mile (or ten) to discover the issue was something the dealer might be

I've done quite a bit of business here for several years. Mark, the owner is a good, straight guy. Roger, the service manager is, unfortunately, the classic service manager who doesn't know nearly as much as he thinks he knows. Several times he has cost me substantial amounts by doing repairs that didn't need to be done, or mis-diagnosed the problem and chasing a problem into areas that are wrong. Last time around we were about $3000 into chasing a problem that Mark finally stepped into and solved in a short time. I've since moved to another shop for my work.

They quoted me one price and then charged $100 more when I went to pick it up. When I tried to get the quoted price Roger put up an impenetrable argument and refused to adjust the price. I ended up paying $255 for a battery for an old car and I would have gone elsewhere had they quoted their price accurately. I have to say that experience was downright unpleasant. At the time I was beginning to have reservations about them anyway, since they missed serious problems on another car after having it checked out for a trip. I was a regular customer but no more.

Update to my Autoworks review.......

Full service? You betcha.

Yesterday I called Tammy to report that my car had died. Maybe.

Within two hours, Mark and mechanic Gary, had arrived at my garage. Jumpstarted the car and driven it away to their shop for further testing.

Left me the key another car which was newer than mine, drove better *and* needed no addition gasoline.

Today, I popped by, returned their loaner car and picked up my Saturn. Presto!

Did I mention the cost of this blue ribbon service?

Nada. Zero. Zilch.

Now, I'm not saying that you won't have to pay Autoworks
