Go Beyond
Transforming communities, environments, and students' lives through meaningful cross-cultural service and travel adventures. If you're searching for something more than just a typical summer trip; if you want to travel with real purpose, then GoBeyond. We go beyond ordinary high school travel programs and build cross-cultural community service summer trips perfectly geared to your interests and curiosities.

Whether you're looking to contribute to authentic service projects, experience exhilarating adventure, or develop your language skills, GoBeyond will immerse you in a new culture where you can make a meaningful difference while on the journey of a lifetime. Our high school community service summer programs proudly serve in many under-resourced communities and environments throughout the world.
Services
We're a group of dedicated experiential educators who create and run service programs for high school students that hold the possibility of changing lives. GoBeyond is proud to be the service and adventure arm of GXG, the Global Expeditions Group, and as you learn more about us, GXG is a name that you'll start to hear quite a bit.
Live onboard a sailing boat and gain hands-on experience with scientific research by tagging sea turtles, reforesting mangroves, and restoring coastlines. Revel in all that Australia has to offer by catching waves at Manly Beach, diving or snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, and sailing the Whitsunday Islands.
By going out into the world on one of our humanitarian service trips, you're guaranteed to see, experience, and learn a lot. You can't always predict what these things might be but at the very least you can choose which direction you want to head. Though all of our humanitarian service trips are designed to provide unforgettable experiences, each journey has a unique approach that tailors to a participant's individual travel interests.
Backed by over 40 years of experience, GoBeyond - the high school service-learning and adventure travel arm of Global Expeditions Group (GXG) - aims to offer its students life-changing experiences through international teen travel programs. By combining international community service projects, cultural immersion, and outdoor adventure, we have successfully ignited the inherent leadership skills in thousands of young adults.
If you're exploring GoBeyond for the very first time, you may be attracted by pictures of foreign lands, epic sunsets or exhilarating adventure activities, yet for our alumni who have experienced it and keep coming back for more, the appeal goes far deeper. Fred DeVito once wrote, "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you", and this sentiment speaks to the core of what we believe.

Excellent program, friendly staff. I couldn't be happier with Action Quest and GoBeyond.
Everything was excellent. Go Beyond staff, as well as Leah Hernandez, is very efficient. Everything was great and Rex is thrilled to have been to BVI last summer and this summer to Australia.

I couldn’t be happier with the Go Beyond Program! The adventure and fun coupled with the educational aspect of the program in my eyes is shaping the younger generation’s world views in ways that many of them will not get or realize without seeing things with their own eyes. This was our daughters second experience with Go Beyond and she is already looking forward to this summer!

This program not only gave me an opportunity to do so many incredible things, but I also met friends who will be at my side for a long time. Though the service projects were by far my favorite part, there was also enough fun to create a good balance with all of the work we were doing. There was also enough variety in the locations so that each service project came with new knowledge and understanding of the BVI and the people that live there. The talks and team building activities were so much fun for me because I love getting to know the people around me! Of all the team bonding, my favorite activity

My youngest daughter, Nicole just returned from her second trip with Go Beyond. Both experiences were transformative and from a parent's point of view incredibly well designed and well executed. Nicole's first trip to Peru was filled with great adventure and hard work which she loved. This summer she spent three weeks in India and was exposed to so many varied and rich cultures. She came back talking about when she could return. The trip was an eye opener for her, and one she will forever carry with her. The outreach and community programs offered through Go Beyond are truly transformative and

Sydney had an amazing experience and has grown so much in so many ways. She learned so much about the environment and how to make an impact in making our earth better. She learned independence and how to handle herself if needed. Sydney learned a lot about herself (what she likes and how she can improve). The staff was unforgettable (Sydney's words :-)) I think it is an experience every child should have. There are no words...she will be back next year!

Lifeworks is amazing. I went to Ecuador on the Darwin program and I had the best time. I loved the program and the people involved in this program, and I would love if someone else got to experience the same thing that I did. This program is very well organized, and I learned a lot about myself and about community service on this trip that I think others should learn too.
The best thing about Lifeworks is the balance between community service and excursions. I loved all of the excursions, and I had a ton of fun with every activity that we did. Community service is really important to me, so doing

Lifeworks International camps are amazing in so many ways, but I'd have to say the aspect that made my trip in Costa Rica this past summer the most special to me is this: the fact that they can take a group of people who has no clue of who the other is and can make them so close that they feel like they've known themselves forever all while teaching the group about a whole different culture and then letting them realize how much of a difference they can make. On top of that, the staff is amazing and facilitates all of this learning but then we also learn from them. And we learn so much about ourselves

Lifeworks International is an outstanding, professional and well thought out program. What the program does for the islands and countries, where it hosts its programs as well as the students who participate in the programs, are life changing experiences-prospectives. The value of this program for the islands and countries it is in far out weighs any other type of program we researched. Students are taught, as they live through the day to day, the implications of their work by meeting locals who are experts in their fields. Students will work hard every day of their journey but they'll love every

Our experience with Lifeworks was not only educational but fun. It provided my daughter with an adventure she will never forget. She learned so much during the trip. She also learned the importance of helping others. She came home with a renewed spirit, dozens of new friends, the desire to continue volunteering in the community, and a little less materialistic. Thank you Lifeworks for providing my daughter with a summer to remember and helping her see not everyone has the same comforts she enjoys. She will be back next summer!

I participated in two of Lifework International many programs because one honestly wasn’t enough. In 2009 I went to Costa Rica on my own. At first it was hard because I wasn’t really used to being away from home and many of the other kids were older. However, the staff was incredible by helping me get acclimated and calming me down when I was homesick. My first night there, a worker at the hostel we were staying at let me use his own cell phone to call my family when I was homesick. That call lasted over 30 minutes and because it was international was very expensive, and all the man did was
