I have been practicing clinical psychology since 1970, and I received my California license in 1972. My areas of specialization have focused on child development, parenting, trauma resulting from sexual and physical child abuse, parent-child attachment, and cognitive-behavioral therapy with children.
A new dimension to my practice in recent years has been working with adult plaintiffs in personal injury cases, who are alleging that they were sexually abused as children. My role has been to conduct forensic psychological testing batteries, in the context of Independent Medical Examinations (IME's).

I don’t recommend this so called professional to anyone. She has sent son to be with a dad that has berated and controls by intimidation and emotional manipulation at 4 yo. Made it so kid was taken out of his coop preschool and taken to a new overcrowded full-time preschool where he caught foot and mouth disease. If you want the best for your kid don’t go to this dr. She seems to have own agenda and not what is best for your child.

I feel inspired to write a review here. I just read a few yelp comments after googling Dr. Packer's name as she was one of the multiple professionals who were involved in my own parents' custody battle, way back, b/t 95-2000.
To any parents who are dealing with divorce and custody, my heart goes out to you, as I, unfortunately, had to witness my own parents' shadows reign center stage in my life between ages 5-13. Their divorce and need to resolve their issues with each other took precedence over my own childhood, and I don't really resent them, but in my own healing process

Horrible human, over ten years I dealt with her, stay as far away from her as possible, just ask any other professional in the bay, she has the worst reputation and is so incompetent she cannot even operate a simple laptop, very bias and definitely needs to fully retire. And stay away from her trusty side kick in heisting your wallet, Andrea Gardinier. I want the world to know how these two ruin people's lives, especially children, there's a special place for these people after this life.....it's very hot.

Dr. Leslie Packer saved my life at 4 years old. If it wasn't for her recommendation for my grandparents to have full custody, I would have wound up in foster care or with one of my abusive parents. I reached out to her several years ago with questions about my case and she remembered me and was just as compassionate and caring as I remembered her. These reviews sound like parents who did not get what they wanted or pointing blame for things that were not legally Dr. Packer's fault. Child Protective Services Cases: Heads up she places the sexually abused child back with the perpetrator. Even CPS has seen wrong doing in her repots compared to their formal psych reports. The truth always comes out. Speaking professionally about 100's of cases that are referred to her. She writes reports back to CPS "this is a safe person". She's not living or spending the nights with the perp. If the perp is safe, then why does CPS keep getting reports on the perp from different service providers saying he's not? She needs to learn analytics and review her cases

Be sure to google Lesslie. One will find that it is common place for her "to have done things". I will leave it at that do to the simple fact that so many true comments about her are deleted. DO NOT allow your child or yourself to become subject to ANY dealings with this person. Be sure to film or record everything you do with her if you happen to be caught already in the situation. I do hope this is direct enough!!

Be prepared to have your bad comments about Packer deleted. My comments were deleted several years ago along with a number of other folks who also had their comments deleted. I'm so sorry, but the system is very broken. It seems to want to make it appear as though you are the only two complainers so far, but trust me, you aren't. I wish you all the best and praying for you. Believe it or not, I have prayed a lot for Dr. Packer... for a change of heart and for the many families and children who have been terribly hurt in the process. My prayers for you.

I am a foster parent for San-Mateo County, and Dr.Leslie Packer was brought in to do a psych eval on my foster daughter. I was taken aback at how she was interested in me and my family as part of my foster daughters evaluation. She was patient and listened intently. She was not so serious that she couldn't laugh along side of me at some of the things we discussed. And the way she took an invested interest in my foster daughters relationship bond with her bio father, brought me to tears, I have never seen a medical professional, give so much of their time for the good of a child.

This lady (Leslie Packer) lies, manipulate and falsified information in my evaluation. These lies are outrageous to help her colleagues and friends who gives her business of $s and system. Each of them sends to their peer colleagues for business depending on length and strength of their relationships. She perfected so none of court colleagues get in trouble if they make blunders in court. She comes and neutralizes court mistakes and makes up false information against you. Falsifying and using children to make money and profit share is crime. This lady knows by doing this it makes more money drawn

At all cost avoid the expertise of "Doctor" Leslie Packer - the most unprofessional psychologist you will find in the area. She will not base her evaluations or observation on facts but strictly on her "likes/dislikes" of the parent. Be aware your children could be severely hurt if they are in the hands of Dr. Packer.
