Services
Dick found employment at a small local welding and repair shop. Only a short while later, the owners decided to dissolve their partnership and let it be known they wanted to sell the business and equipment. In 1947 "Young Brothers Machine Works" was established. Dick, along with his brothers Roland and Frank, purchased the equipment for $7000 and set up shop in a rented building.
Our laser cutting division can handle very large production-run quantities of parts, or we can make just one part that may be required for your repair project or prototype application. We use several different CAD and Solid Model programs to make sure we can import and process your drawings as quickly as possible, no matter what type of CAD system you are using!
Our facility is dedicated to producing quality parts and assemblies for our customers to their exacting specifications. Bring us a sketch of what you want, or send us an electronic drawing, or provide us with your prototype part. Our qualified staff, along with our Trumpf lasers and CNC press brakes can help produce the parts that you need.
We have an entire department and even a separate building dedicated to welding at Young Manufacturing (Mfg.) Inc. The actual welding area the crew uses is approx. 5000 sq/ft, while the entire building has 14,400 sq/ft to store the welding jigs, partial weldments, assemblies and finished product. We are also experts at MIG (wire feed) welding all three main base metals: Mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Our YLM Tube Bender can bend either round or square metal tubing with precise accuracy. Once the machine is programmed, it is ready to make multiple pieces. The quality of the bends and finished corners is smooth and flawless - no more crushed corners or unsightly blemishes - just nice smooth accurate bends.
