Pietro's is a family-owned and operated restaurant located in the central valley, the heart of wine country. Pietro's originated in 1956 in Vacaville, California. The patriarch of the Murdaca family, Pietro Murdaca, opened the original location on Cernon Street shortly after immigrating from Southern Italy. In 1985, Pietro and his son Jim came to the valley to open Pietro's of Lodi. The Murdaca family remains committed to three guiding principles; quality food, customer service, and respect for employees.

The food was amazing but Nichole was so rude I believe she was a manager it is beyond me how they allow it. She gave terrible glares constantly and took menus away before I even had the chance to look at it I had to ask someone else in passing for another. I have been there a few times and she makes me not want to come back. Every time it seems to be something. How unfortunate it is because otherwise the place is amazing . I've never met this women otherwise so I'm unsure what the problem is. Very unprofessional

This place has amazing employees that are friendly and know their menu. I lived in New York City most of my life, so unfortunately I can't say it's the best Italian food I've ever had. However food is really good and I would say the best Italian place in the Galt, Elk Grove, and Lodi area. The complimentary bread was served with doing oil and was amazing. We had the Lasagna pictured as a face, a deep pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and fresh Parmesan cheese, a plain cheese pizza that tasted like a New York slice from a mom and pop pizzeria, and the calamari. I do have to say my girlfriend was not

After hearing so much about this restaurant we decided to come & have apps, desserts & drinks.
We started off with delicious warm bread, perfect crunch on the outside & soft & warm on the inside paired with olive oil & vinaigrette.
The bruschetta, calamari, drinks and dessert were all so delicious! I cannot choose a favorite, in fact I wanted more!
The service was excellent! Katy was our server, she was attentive & super friendly. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing okay.
Despite how extremely busy they were the food & drinks came out very very

The food is REALLY good-how ever since removing the sides there are no longer many kid or senior sized portions for smaller appetites.
One of the best things about this place, other than the great food, was the variety of side orders which they removed the majority of that worked well for senior or kid sized meals.
No more garden salad that isn't $15 and up, no more sides of Nettie's ravioli, no more sides of bread, no more the quart and pint sizes of pasta. A little disappointing.....

This place is Lodi's top Italian place like habanero hots is the top Mexican.
I have to go here against my will and the never fails to disappoint. The pasta is a joke. I'd rather eat ketchup and egg noodles.
Risotto consistently mushy and out of temp compared to whatever it is served with.
It comes out on the plate pretty and that's good enough for Lodi.
My grandmother would roll over in her grave!
Fugazi!

Oh my this spot is next level. The atmosphere is electric and the outdoor patio is gorgeous! The food is just the cherry on top.
We ordered Espresso Martinis, Gnocchi Cotto, and their Toscana pizza dish. They also carry fab wine from local wineries! Definitely book your reservation in advance so you don't miss out on this gem.

So so good. My parents moved up to Elk Grove a few months ago and have already made several trips to Pietro's. When my husband and I came up for the weekend we finally got to try their food ourselves.
Their house bread is amazing, and we had three throughout our meal. The service was incredible and our server spoiled us by bringing out some additional Calabrian chili oil and another spicy pickle.
We ordered some pizza, eggplant Parmesan, cacio and pepe, and we all shared the beet salad. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh. We will DEFINITELY be back.

I came for a bridal shower and we sat in their patio in the back. We enjoyed our food, the scenery, and of course the wine. I absolutely loved the bread and the moscato. I loved how the "roof" can open and close. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Definitely an amazing bridal shower thanks to Pietros!

One of the nicer Italian restaurants in the area. One of my Italian friends says this place has classic northern italian cuisine. I've been twice now and both times they've had a full house for both their indoor/outdoor space so I'd recommend a reservation if you want to stop by during dinner.
| WHAT I'VE TRIED |
- Bruschetta
- Prosciutto Di San Daniele D.O.P.
- Amatriciana
- Gnocchi with mushrooms
- Pork Milanese
- Basilico
________________
I would recommend the bruschetta and the prosciutto for appetizers. Super easy to share the bruschetta here is on fresh/fluffy bread

I have no reason to give this restaurant less than a full five stars! Wow so delicious! Starting with the bread that is placed on your table almost immediately along with oil and balsamic. Bread is sorta like a focaccia but much moister. It's one of the best table bread experiences ever. Folks it doesn't really matter what you order here. It's all delicious and pretty authentic Italian. The calamari appetizer is fabulous. No tentacles. It's calamari steak strips perfectly breaded with a red (marinara) and white dipping sauce. I had the Vongole (spaghetti with pancetta

Very nice restaurant with excellent outdoors seating. Only had minor quibbles with some of the dishes. The beet / burrata salad just didn't work...too many internal conflicts, IMHO. The lasagne tasted terrific but wasn't too hot by the time it got to us. I really liked the outdoor dining experience in the back so do check that out.

I've wanted to come to Pietro's for a while now. I am so glad that I did. I came here recently with friends. We decided to sit outdoors and adore the beautiful scenery.
For the appetizers, we tried the Bruschetta, Calamari Fritti, and Prosciutto di San Daniele D.O.P to share. They all were so tasty, fresh, and flavorful!
For the entree, I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and added a salad on the side. I enjoyed my meal from start to finish.

We visited Pietro's in Feb 2019. We were astounded then and last nights visit was no different! The service, wine selection, chef, and atmosphere was effectively perfect! Reservation was at 7pm on a Saturday, and our table awaited us! In 2019, with out a reservation, we waited an hour but it was worth it. If you're ever within an hour of this landmark establishment, make reservations and experience a little bit of Italy here in California.

Honestly might be the best Italian place in the area. I've been on the hunt for a long time, and I keep ending up back to here. My girlfriend asked what I wanted to eat, and because we haven't been back since before COVID, it was pretty much a no brainer to me. Plus we went for lunch, so it left dinner options pretty open.
We always start with the bruschetta, and it never disappoints. Grilled Chibatta with all the tomatoes, garlic, basil and cheese on top. The hard part with this is that everything falls off the bread when you take a bite, but there's so much on it, that you

Overall great experience; the service started great. Then got spotty. The food was terrific. I ordered the meatballs and calamari, to begin with. For our meals, we ordered gnocchi and porchetta. Everything was great. The only turn-off was having to wave off the flies constantly. I even took a picture. The flies were just on the lampshade

Excellent food, customer service, and atmosphere. My fiancé and I came here for my birthday dinner. We sat outside in their new patio area. It was a crisp evening and the weather was perfect to enjoy outdoor seating. Pietros prides themselves on being farm to table, we were seated right next to a giant lemon tree. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My fiancé had the Super Special pizza which had a crust covered in Parmesan cheese. I ordered the steak sandwich which came with ravioli. They give you fresh bread and olive oil/vinegar before entrees, so we will have leftovers for tomorrow

Best Italian I have ever had in America.
I love to cook, eat and look for fine dining. I didnt have this restaurant on my plan, since I was on my way home from honeymoon. I was never expected to meet this gem all on sudden.
Best dishes I had here are the following
1. Cioppino - seafood soup
2. Insalata Salad - awesome combination of salads with jalepino
3. Lavioli
On top of these, they have the best starter bread ever with amazing quality of olive oil & balsamic.
If I ever have an opportunity to come nearby, I'd love to drive all the way here.

A nice surprise. Reminded me of the excellent food I enjoyed in Florence, Italy. The meatball appetizer was so tender and tasty you could cut it with a fork. Fresh out of the oven focaccia with server with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The steak with risotto special was cooked to perfection, and the Gelato pie with pistachio crust was so scrumptious. Don't let the exterior or location of this gem fool you, it's worth a drive and visit.

What can I say, Pietro's is worth the hour drive from the Bay Area, that's how great their food is!
We've dined here multiple times over the last two years with the kids and just friends, and not once, have we ever disappointed. The food, the service, the atmosphere...everything is always outstanding!
Presentation of the food is always beautifully presented and you can just tell with each and every bite, the passion and detail that goes in to each and every dish.
Pietros is our place, and we will continue to make the drive out here to dine at this fabulous restaurant

Highly recommend eating at Pietro’s when in the Lodi/Stockton area! Not only is the food fantastic and well priced, the service is phenomenal. We ate inside which has a great atmosphere with the open kitchen design. The outside patio also looked like a great area to eat. The baked bread with the olive oil is amazing. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and the tomatoes and basil were so fresh. I ordered the lasagna for my main entree with a side Caesar salad. The lasagna came out sizzling hot and the side Caesar salad came with the perfect amount of dressing. Everything was excellent and would
