With the help and support of friends and family, Jason and Laurie Dix converted their 1937 gothic barn, a former dairy barn, into a unique venue intended for weddings, retreats, and other social gatherings. After purchasing the 25-acre property in 1999, Jason set out to preserve a piece of agricultural history while employing his knowledge of organic farming.
In 2003, the pair met while working at a wedding. Laurie was working as a photographer's assistant while Jason was shooting video. It wasn't too long thereafter when they were working together as a team-this time in the barn, but with power tools instead of cameras. All along, their passion for the creative arts (especially photography and videography) has remained steadfast.

Services
The rental fee is $3,500-$5,000 depending on the day and the rental period is from 8:00 am to midnight. A $1,500 (non-refundable) deposit is required to reserve the day. Fifty percent of the remaining balance is due six months prior and the final payment is due thirty days prior. Photography services are optional and the deposit required is $500.

What was supposed to be a September wedding was canceled due to COVID-19; no one's fault. When I inquired about a refund, I was told no refunds (as stated in the contract) BUT I could have my money forwarded to a future date. Future date chosen, new contract signed. Ultimately ultimately Uncle Sam stepped in, and my husband was sent to Fort Leonard Wood on military orders. When I advised redbarn studios of military orders, I was basically told to kick rocks unless somebody could be found that would purchase my date. I took them to small claims court.

Our wedding at this venue exceeded all my expectations in every single way. First of all, it is beautiful inside and out, very tastefully decorated and there are so many areas to take beautiful pictures. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW AMAZING THE OWNERS ARE. We went to a wedding at this venue... The property is beautiful along with the barn. On their website they don't have much information about parking of large vehicles... Like an RV. We were coming from out of town and obviously we're going to have to park Our RV While we were at the wedding. I parked by another RV as that's where I was told to park. One of the owners the gentleman approached me in a very gruff manner and said you're not camping here And you need to be out of here at the end of the night. I explained to this gentleman but I had no intentions of camping there

Beautiful Barn Venue! I have photographed in many barns before but this one definitely let in the most light! The unobtrusive artificial lights installed through the main reception area create stunning effects (very rare). The grounds are well kept. The chickens and roosters were so fun for the kids to see running around but they definitely kept to themselves away from the main venue area. Laurie was so helpful while allowing the party to be ran independently. I loved the way guests could experience each moment of the wedding separately. It's a very nice feel and atmosphere that surrounds this place and if you get a chance to explore this place, do so and you will find that it has some of the most spectacular views. A great walking path or driving path that eludes in to the pasture as you gaze down the sunset with a glass of wine while your sitting on the balcony of the barn. Beautiful, it was my sister's wedding day and it was just amazing where she had her wedding. Great job with the secluded scenery that has to be seen by one to believe. Kudos Red Barn Studios.

I just got married here in July! Hands down Laurie and Jason are amazing! When my husband and I first toured the place we fell in love and immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. The positives are the grounds are beautiful! We got married on a at least 90 degree day and opted for an outdoor ceremony! The location we picked was nicely shaded and not hot at all. Then inside the barn stayed very cool with their giant fan! I love that they allow you to do your own food as it saves us a lot to do that. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is the bridal get ready area was a sauna

We just had our wedding at this venue, we were very happy with our choice. It is a beautiful barn and the grounds make a very good setting for pictures. Jason was very helpful and accomadating and he also contributed some really great ideas. I found it to be pretty reasonably priced when compared to other locations. The only suggestions i would have is that jason and Laurie meet tje couples together so there are no miscommunications. When we booked the venue and paid our money in full we were not told about an additional $500 deposit to be paid 30 days before our wedding and there was also miscommunication

Red Barn Studios is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I chose to have our wedding here even though it was 3 hours from home because it was that perfect. In addition to how beautiful it is, Jason and Laurie (the owners), were wonderful to work with. I must have emailed them at least 50 times and Laurie was always quick to respond. Jason was so helpful with everything the day of. This is the perfect venue for really any type of celebration.

Jason and Laurie are awesome! The venue is gorgeous! I was helping my daughter plan and execute her wedding and I don't know what I would have done if I could not email them on a moments notice to find out information. They were there the day of the wedding and were helpful and bent over backwards to make sure things were as they should be. Also, when the one problem couple at the wedding started their shenanigans, they were there to help out with advice on the best way to handle the situation. If I were going to ever recommend a place for a venue, this would certainly be on the top of my list

We held our annual company meeting at Red Barn Studios today. We needed a place that was half way between Portland and Seattle and Red Barn is the ideal place when you want something out of the ordinary for a company meeting. We were tired of the boring conference centers! Red Barn has a beautiful location and the barn is lovingly restored. We were worried that in such a big place, we might be cold and nothing is further from the truth! We had our daughter's wedding here and it was absolutely gorgeous. Such a fun venue. Jason and Laurie were so helpful and easy to work with. They let us make it ours and were accessible for help all day. It is very kid friendly - we had games going outside, dancing inside. We were so lucky to have the Red Barn Studios as our venue. Jason and Laurie were absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and made a crazy process sane! We even had a giant slip and slide, which was a great hit with kids of all ages. The barn and grounds are gorgeous and made for spectacular photographs! All of our guests were blown away! My wife and I were blessed to get married at Red Barn Studios. I can't say enough about how accommodating and awesome the owners were, extremely friendly and helpful during the wedding. The owners were very helpful giving us ideas for the wedding and helping us find great vendors. The owners also photographed our wedding; the pictures that were taken were nothing short of amazing. I had my wedding here a few weeks ago and I was so disappointed in the way that the owners treated my family and I. I honestly feel as if I was being sabotaged by them. I was disrespected and threatened by the owners on my wedding day (who attended my wedding and also invited another person that was their friend, TO MY WEDDING?!) They were in everyone's face, following everyone around. They made up the rules as they went... suddenly, alcohol was no longer allowed outside?

I attended and photographed the most amazing wedding at this location. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and there was shuttle service to and from the wedding all evening.
There was plenty of room at the facility to host the wedding upstairs, a reception downstairs while photos were taken, then dinner seating was upstairs and the food was buffet style downstairs (we chose to cater from Portland, because we had friends do it). The bathrooms were spacious and conventient. There is also a "family" bathroom for changing the little ones or taking a "nursing break

Two of my BFFs got married here last weekend.
Jason, the owner, was there Friday when we were setting up, and Saturday helping run things. He was extremely friendly and professional and a pleasure to work with.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous: the barn is well kept up and beautifully appointed (sweet little veranda on the side, pretty bathrooms, gorgeous staircase to the 2nd floor) but still rustic. The grounds include a sweeping view down from the barn to the trees that line the river, chickens, a little apple orchard, and a garden. Only one thing went wrong: one of the lights burned out
