Services
Working for LakeDJ Entertainment is our full-time employment and we love it. Full-time means we are available for consultations, or to return your calls during the week, not just weekends or evenings. We work together at events to maintain a seamless production. At some venues we are required to provide sound in three or four different areas, this is never a problem for our team.

Even many miles from the lake, wherever you are planning your wedding, we have the experience, the music and the equipment to make your wedding day special. We make sure your guests can hear the ceremony at your wedding, with a clip microphone for the Minister. At Lake DJ Entertainment our ceremony system includes at least two wireless microphones and professions sound equipment. Let us help make your wedding ceremony a treasured memory for all your guests.
An onsite attended is included to help direct your guests and create the souvenir scrapbook. At LakeDJ Entertainment we offer an Open-Air Photo-Studio style PhotoBooths. The Photo-Studio PhotoBooth is amazing fun in a "Go Anywhere" package. With a number of different color backdrops and room for large groups, it offers incredible entertainment for your guests.
Accent lighting, like pinspots, can make your cake or center pieces or other decor stand out. Uplighting is the art of painting with light to create a truly magical backdrop for your wedding or event. Uplighting can transforming your venue and adding ambiance. It can turn a plan room into a unique colorful space.

Derek went above and beyond for our wedding. He was recommended by our venue and responded quickly to our request and was really easy to work with leading up to our wedding. He provided us options and worked to customize everything for us. Then we met him after our ceremony and he was so kind and personable and helpful. He was an amazing master of ceremonies and really helped make sure our reception was perfect. The music he played was exactly what we wanted and he made sure not to play requests that we didn't want. Derek was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Derek and his team did such an amazing job at our wedding (9.29.18) at the ridge Tahoe. Derek was the master of ceremonies and reception DJ and I can't say enough great things! He made the day run seamlessly! Completely professional but also knows how to have a good time. His communication prior to the wedding all the way to the day of was stellar! Derek was incredible- I helped coordinate a friends wedding at Edgewood and was so impressed with the way he handled the couple, the way he MCd, his overall attitude, he was so kind and pleasant and knew so much about the flow of weddings - he went above and beyond, like helping the couple pose when cutting the cake (which is always confusing), handing the speech givers their drinks after their speeches and really keeping the bridal party going. Where to begin! Derek was amazing. Everything flowed and his upbeat personality really helped with our large bridal party. We gave him our music playlist a couple weeks before the wedding, and on the day of the wedding he played everything we requested and I loved during our ceremony the music was in sync with the processionals. Lake DJ Derek is the BEST. We had so much prep leading up to the wedding, that it did't occur to me until the actual day that I hadn't talked to him much about our specific plans. The reviews say it all. Absolutely 5 stars (I'd give him 6 if it were possible)! We met with him and two other DJs before deciding that he was the right fit. Even when trying to think of something that could have been improved, nothing comes to mind. He was always responsive to emails, very professional, and most of all, extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He knew exactly how the whole day/night should go and never missed a beat (pun intended). Every song was on point, and we got dozens of comments on how perfectly everything was timed.

Among wedding professionals, Lake DJ is almost surely the most trusted DJ company in Lake Tahoe. I've worked at a few events with Derek and Vicki. They are fun, professional, and engaging - everything you want from your DJs. Their equipment is awesome, and they have everything backed up in case of a technical difficulty. They truly treat your wedding like they would their own.
As someone also who DJs, I've learned a lot spending time with Derek and Vicki. I'm sure I'll learn more from them in the future. They definitely do things the right way.

I can not give a high enough rating for Derek!! I'm so glad I found him on Yelp! It's nerve wracking having a destination wedding! Derek was amazing through the whole process of me picking out all the songs for the special events of our wedding and updating the timeline several times for me since I am a perfectionist.
