Facility was awesome. Wine, beers and water fine. We saw Bee Gees makeover. Program was fine. My only suggestion is to turn up the volume in an effort to connect with the audience quicker. I was kind of embarrassed for our AG folks. No one really "felt it" until the last three songs. Turn it up! It's a concert for gosh sakes. Help the entertainers connect with their audience!

I recently attended my 2nd event at The Clark Center. The volunteers are really friendly and make sure they do all they can to help you in any way they can. Its a large, well kept, nice building. The seating is close, but comfortable. They host family friendly events, that cover a wide variety of interests. The rates are affordable, with seating options. I truly enjoyed both of the events I attended.

While the Clark center itself is a fantastic facility, the rule are not. I understand not wanting food in the audience because of trash (even though we all know it's just because they want you to buy snacks so they get more money) but they wouldn't even allow water into the auditorium. Because of this, I was forced to leave my bottle in the lobby (which was very unfortunate for me as I have a condition where I get dehydrated quickly). The only water bottles allowed in were the plastic recyclable bottles they sold in the lobby (again, just them wanting money). There was even one boy who

Last night we attended the Big Band Christmas performance. The band was high school quality - not professional, and the band leader should not be playing trumpet. Was he filling in for someone who didn't show up? We would like to suggest that those who want to perform should first audition for the Clark Center Association. It will be a long while before we return. Just don't feel like buying tickets for unprofessional performances.
SLO county has lots of talent. Have you considered the Cal Poly Jazz Band - they are excellent!
Thank you

Absolutely fantastic!
These guys are more than singers, they are musical instruments while being strong entertainers and more. No intermission is required, they can just go straight ahead, full force and never bore the audience in any way whatsoever.
When they come back to the Central Coast you better grab a ticket fast, it's a complete sellout next time....Wonderful be evening!

Bought tickets for the Carole King tribute concert. The website was having problems so we were able to complete the purchase over the phone. I love the Clark Center and was a contributor when it was built. I suggest that they invest in website improvements so that it matches the quality of the rest of the operation.

I too was at the Peter Pan play today with my child's school. While I agree with another reviewer that the play was fantastic, I also agree that some of the staff was rude and very inefficient. I understand that there has to be rules and guidelines for having school groups attend plays, but the employees need to handle having kids in the theater with a bit more grace. Perhaps even a smile. I was in the group that was told to stand up and leave when the lights came up for the second intermission. Half of our confused group was across the street at the parking lot when they were told to

I hate to give this play only one star, because the Peter Pan show was fantastic! However I have to give one star because the staff here is beyond rude! I encountered several different employees one in the front yelling at kids who were running around outside on the sidewalk "This is not a playground!" Another lady who while sitting our group was literally separating kids from their parents (literally sitting in different rows) because she just wanted us seated. While getting up to take my son to the bathroom about 15 minutes before the play even started a lady told me that if we needed

My friend and I drive up there from San Diego to see the fundraising show by the amazing director Jason Sumabat. They raise fund to donate to the Parkinson's Disease Research, and it has been 11 years since they've started. All casts are volunteers. Mr. Sumabat not only choreographs the casts but performs in all different types of parts. He fills in for anyone who cannot make it. He s an amazing choreographer, singer, dancer and actor.

A hidden gem in South County, The Clark Center is like a scaled down version of the PAC. I've seen amazing shows here by Poco, Emmylou Harris, Cobie Callet and The Dark Star Orchestra, just to name a few . The acoustics are first rate.
The problem is the 2011 season of shows was a steaming pile. When the highlight of the season is Charo and a Bee Gees cover band, it's time to re-evaluate booking. This was the first year that we skipped shows.
Still... this review is for the venue and with that, The Clark Center gets 5 stars.

The Clark Center is a beautiful facility for any venue. It has a charm all its own and every seat in the building has great views of the stage.
I attended the show this weekend America the Beautiful with the Central Coast Follies and it was excellent. My family from Southern California who attended the show were impressed with the intimacy of the theater and its professional design.
All the staff and volunteers were so friendly and welcoming.
Thank You.....You made me proud!

The Clark Center is amazing. To think that a small town like Arroyo Grande could have a facility of this caliber is a dream come true. I have seen many wonderful performers here, from Big Band to Juggling Acts. Check their coming events and get in there to see something. It is fabulous to see big names show up at little old Arroyo Grande! -

I am an AGHS alum, so I remember the days when the Clark Center was just a grove of pine trees and grass with a large wooden thermometer sign showing how much more money was needed before a professional performing arts center would materialize in that spot. When I returned to the area after college, a beautiful building was in fact there! And even more extraordinary is that it hosts more community and school events each year than ticketed shows.
That said, the staff at the Clark Center -- from the Executive Management, to the Marketing Department, from the Box Office to every single volunteer

My boyfriend and I were SO disappointed by this place. We went to see "Yesterday", a Beatles tribute band back sometime in early spring 2010. $50 a ticket, and they were horrendous. A total disgrace to The Beatles.
I know that this seems like more of a rating of the band (Yesterday), but the center must have SOME control over who they choose to bring in and how much they choose to charge - FIFTY BUCKS for a show that seemed like a middle school talent show (at best). I am a HUGE Beatles fan, too. I didn't even want to stay for the whole show, but we kept hoping it would get

What a great place to hear a concert!
The Clark Center seems new and well maintained. They started close to on-time. The sound was good. I went to see Altan, the Irish traditional music band, and while I typically prefer to experience Irish traditional music in more cozy venues, the Clark Center served well. It's the perfect small yet modern theatre.
I'm looking forward to seeing more concerts here!
