Services
Jeff Jacobs, BOCPed, co-owner of Foot Dynamics and Advanced Casting Technology, was born into skiing. His father, Tom Jacobs, was an accomplished four event skier (slalom, downhill, jumping and cross country) who competed in the 1952 Olympics in Oslo, Norway. Tom was also an inductee into the Skiing Hall of Fame.
What makes Foot Dynamics and our sister company Advanced Casting Technology unique is our highly innovative and accurate manufacturing method that controls the process from impressions to finished product. We start with our proprietary semi-weight bearing foot impression, which models the feet in an uncompensated, mid-stance position.

These folks are the best! I have referred friends to them knowing full well that their feet are in good hands! Nobody has been disappointed so far and every time I visit I leave more than satisfied. Just go. Walk in and tell them it is your first time. They will measure your feet! Spend some time telling them about any issues you might be having and they WILL get you into the right shoes. The second time you go, since you know what you like, shop their discount alcove. Good deals!

Foot Dynamics is the real deal when it comes to custom orthotics. I've had mine for years which I wear every day. After a number of years of wear, my inserts needed to be refurbished, which was handled quickly and expertly by Foot Dynamics. The refurbished inserts look like brand spanking new and I'm good to go once again for more years of wear. .. Highly recommend Foot Dynamics.

I purchase three pairs of sandals with a full sole lift fabricated for the right sandals. I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of their work, impressed with their customer service, and they stand behind their work. I highly recommend them particularly if you need modifications done on your shoes.

I love this place! I had my orthotics made here. I had an extensive exam of my ankles and knee alignment. I also got my shoes (altra) there. I just had my latest foot exam. My doctor said I was doing everything right by going to foot dynamics. I work two jobs and my shoes and my orthotics support me so much… And they have a great selection of Tivas. Thank you!

Great place to find comfortable shoes. It was recommended by my doctor for orthotic insoles, but I ended up also finding 3 amazingly comfortable pairs of shoes. They have a good selection, but didn't carry in stock the color sandals I wanted , so they ordered them for me and 5 days later I was able to try them on and buy them. Helpful staff who know foot dynamics and their products!

I will never go to another shoe store. Good thing that the carry ALL of my favorite brands. The service you get here is AMAZING. I had and issue and emailed one of the owners and he and his staff handled it swiftly and in the best way possible. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Foot Dynamics. Horrible online experience. I ordered a repair and waited days for email instructions on how to send them in. I contacted them, and they told me I "messed up" and simply missed the "obvious" instructions on sending them in at the end of the online carting process, which didn't matter because they don't do Boston repairs any longer. I asked for a refund, and it has been going on for two weeks with no luck. I would highly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I've been a long-distance biker (50-100 mile) for years, and have struggled to find a solution for "hot foot" that generally starts after the 25-mile mark. I must have tried a dozen different solutions without success, but am THRILLED to say that custom insoles from Foot Dynamics seems to address the issue: I was able to do 70-mile rides twice this week with no issues - yippee! The process to make the insoles from Chicago was very easy + the insoles fit very well. Highly recommend!

I am a massage therapist and a very active person, therefore, I spend a lot of time on my feet. I have been experiencing pain in the lateral part of my left foot, I have bone spurs on the top of both feet and my legs were aching after just two hours of standing. I went to Foot Dynamics after seeing them at a fitness event. One of their podiatrists (yes, a real doctor not a sales person), analyzed my feet and molded custom forms specific to my feet. I have one leg that is 3/8 inch longer than the other and I've struggled with heal lifts forever to try to keep my back from hurting. Dr. Jeff helped me with zero drop shoes plus he put discrete lifts in the soles so no more heel lifts plus the shoes are very comfortable and the alterations are almost invisible. The best part is the price was super reasonable and the quality is A++. Thank you Foot Dynamics.

I would not recommend this store. i had my birkenstocks resoled at foot dynamics - a not inexpensive repair. but when foot dynamics was done with my shoes, they were unusable. i have been wearing birkenstocks for many years and understand how they are supposed to fit. however, the instep of my shoes ended up being grotesquely convex from the repair and, as a result, were extremely painful to wear. the person who repaired the shoes (who, if i am not mistaken, is also the owner of the store) was unreasonable about correcting the problem and generally very rude.

Awesome store. The sales people here are people here are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have purchased two pairs of shoes here, after my foot doctor prescribed a pair of orthotic inserts for my running shoes. Foot Dynamics fabricated the orthotics, and then were very helpful on getting me lined up with other shoes to help deal with the foot issues I've been facing. In any event, it always feels good to talk to people who know what they are talking about. The shoes I got today were on sale too, so I save 35%, which was awesome!
