My family has frequented this place many times over the years. Because they are the ONLY ones who repair lamps. And that is absolutely the ONLY reason they get any business. And I should mention that they are quite aware of that fact. They are way overpriced, but know you have no other alternative. Customer service is as follows... there is none. The older woman who is no longer there (thank god) was extremely rude, but now replaced with a younger version who you are apparently inconveniencing just by walking in the door. To top it off, the guy who I assume is the owner stands behind this type

Terrible customer service. Would leave less than one star review if possible. Fixtures with this store for over 6 weeks and still not done. When called as lead ing for the season, staff yelled at me over the phone. Fixing a lamp ain't that hard that folks need to tolerate such terrible customer service.

Overpriced restoration which was not satisfactory in any way other than the new lamp cords and the new light socket fixtures. Paid $725 to have two lamps restored.. would have been another $700 to have them rebrassed... I should have just bought two new stifle brass bases for $500 and not gone through the aggravation and disappointment of picking up these expensive repaired lamps that I'm still embarrassed to use in my house.

Needed a small 5 light chandelier rewired - dropped off and they said 4-6 weeks, I didn’t hear anything from them until I called them after they had had the chandelier for 8 weeks, they said they were backed up. I had to keep chasing them and calling to get an update and at one point they told me they didn’t have the chandelier (it was lost in the back up apparently). I finally called again after it had been 10 weeks and they said they would be working on it the following week. They never called me with an estimate just called and said it was ready to be picked up and then charged us over

I don't usually write-up places that have provided services. However I would like to make an exception. The service and quality of Tampa Lamp Repair & Shade Studio is par excellance! I worked with James on having a Waterford Crystal Chandelier repaired after it was damaged in transit for my re-location from New York City. I can't begin to tell you the arduous and delicate nature of my repair. James and his staff are a true treasure, I couldn't be happier with the professionalism I received. My Chandelier which is a family heirloom was treated with the care and reverence it needed. I am very thankful

This place should be avoided. I tried to buy from this local shop. Big mistake. This should have been a simple interaction and turned into a very irritating experience. Bottom line – Lamp Repair N Shade Studio does not accept returns. In their words “what do you think we are – Home Depot?”
This was not a special-order item. It came right off their shelf. I said that I wanted to take it home to see if the color matched. Bought the shade, took it home, and didn’t like the match. When I came back to the store 2 days later, they refused to give me a refund, pointing out that the receipt

This is the worst customer service I encountered so far. The old lady is just nasty and rude. I dropped my lamp to be repaired and they said it will take a week. After a week I called to inquire, and sure enough the mean lady gave me the same treatment like the previous reviewer. It take a month for them to finish the repair. I paid $50 for a socket replacement which is too expensive. But what devastated me is not the $50, it is the horrible treatment the woman gave me. I was asking her husband who I believe did the repair at the time of pick up about the new piece he put in and this women comes

This is a small family-owned business and I've had great experiences there previously. When I went in today to exchange two $70+ lamp shades, the woman was shockingly rude. She did not want to exchange them because it has been more than two weeks since I bought them. The receipt said "store credit within seven days" but I was willing to spend more money if necessary to get the properly-sized shades. They were still in the plastic so I assumed there wouldn't be a problem. I had not returned them sooner because my handyman hadn't been able to re-hang the wall lamps and I live about 25 miles from
