Total rip off! They said that my hair would be removed after 6 sessions, then as this wasn't the case, I had to continue to pay for more sessions to have the hair removed. After stopping service with them one year later, all of my hair has now grown back. I have spend literally hundred of dollars. Please do not use their service!

I trust Jinmei so much! I've been going since February 2020 because she has delivered great results. I do three treatments with her: Forever Young, Laser Hair Removal, and Laser bleaching treatment for my hyperpigmentation and my life has literally changed! For the better. I have a lot less pores and hyperpigmentation because of the Forever Young; three days after doing it my blackheads on my nose literally came out while I was in the shower, this happened both times that I did it. The facility itself is very clean but the staff is very unreliable. I booked 6 sessions for laser hair removal and the nurse cancelled 2/3 appointments for unknown reasons the day of the appointment and when the receptionist and manager, Sarah offered to reschedule or look for another appointment at a different location- those other locations were closed (for the day) but the manager continued to lead me on and told me to wait for a cancellation. The other locations are closed on a Monday.... how dumb do they think their customers are and what a rude way to treat their customers. The customer service

Careful of Bait & Switch - Groupon gets you in her office, and then May will “up-sell” to her drastically higher prices. After finding and paying for parking twice, she wouldn’t treat at Groupon prices. If you don’t accept, she won’t treat or respond. Ultimately wasting your time and money - SCAM. Watch out for the “Covid excuse”.

I purchased 6 sessions through Groupon and am so impressed with the results even after one treatment. I went to a different location for laser on another area last year, and it was so much more painful than the laser May uses at NB. Really clean facility, super quick process. Also, May is so nice and knowledgeable. The best way to book an appointment is by texting, so once you know that, it's much easier to schedule.

If you are a person of color, I would highly suggest that you avoid this place AT ALL COST.
I purchased a groupon for servicing what was defined as a "small area", Multiple phone calls and messages left to number given to schedule apt, however no call back, a couple of weeks later, I get a text from the number mentioned in the groupon about scheduling. We agreed on a date and time.
I get to the place, and the lady of asian descent barely aknowledges me. Gives me a form to fill out and goes to attend to another customer, comes back in the room, I hand her the form and she starts telling

I started Laser treatment because I have a very sensitive skin and my dermatologist suggested that I should stop using the raser.
My experience at NB Laser has been wonderful!!! The stuff members are very friendly and professional and the space is very clean and organized. May was the one who took care of my treatment and she has been amazing and more than helpful. The results are great!! I highly recommend this place!!

I had a Groupon for 3 sunspot laser sessions last year - it said on the fine print that you could get another Groupon after 180 days(6 MOs)... so I bought another Groupon this year ... called to make an appt..... and was told they don't accept a second Groupon!!!
I had 3 sessions last year - I was given a trainee, which made me uncomfortable; the spot on my face after 3 sessions didn't fade; the one on my hand and the one on my arm did...
I've had this done elsewhere with better results.
What really burns is that I spent a long time with a customer rep on Groupon, and am not getting

I really appreciate May and her team. My hair growth has drastically, and the machine she has is great for POC skin. I received the 6 session small area treatment from Groupon. I had to pay 100 extra because it turns out the chin AND under your chin is considered a medium area. So you may want to clarify that before buying the Groupon. The only other con is that parking in the Newbury St area is rough. Overall, it was a good experience.

Please don't go here! I purchased a groupon for their laser hair removal service, and at my first appointment was talked into purchasing (supposedly at a discount rate, but it was the same rate listed on their website) a second area. Immediately after, I was told they could not do the removal on my underarms, since I have tattoos there. I'll accept that this is my fault, as I had not thought it through, but I was then refused a refund (even partial) for the amount I had JUST PAID for the second area.
Since I'd already paid in full for the groupon, I continued back for all six appointments

Like previous reviews mention, I have been trying to make an appointment since June. Each call has been unanswered and unreturned. I additionally sent emails 3 separate times, all of which have also been unanswered. Today, May answered the phone, and asked me if I had been there before. After hearing that I have been trying to make an appointment for months and remembering that I am an existing client, she cut me off and said she would call me back later. I had a great experience with NB's staff and facilities ~4months ago - - nice people, no wait.

There were VERY POOR / NO results on removing hair. I still have to shave as I did before, and they will not respond to me to try and fix this. I did all 6 sessions in the time-frame they set for me, and it is like I didn't go at all. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied. It was a HUGE waste of money! (TWO AREAS!). I would NOT suggest this place at all.
(Note - I wish I had read all of the other reviews before I went... it seems like I am not the only one with this experience / no results! SO infuriating and there is no refund or correction of service.)

I strongly urge people not to go here. My experience was awful and I did not see any results after 6 sessions. May, the owner, is extremely rude and lacks professionalism. Going here is a waste of money.

I've been getting laser treatments for the past 5 years at various locations in Cambridge, Back Bay, and Brookline. Each time, there was a wide ranging level of discomfort even when there was just a little hair. I went to NB Laser and Massage for the first time on Saturday and I loved it!
