I tried to book an appointment for a Groupon and was told to do so online. NO problem. Tried that, and Groupon was not an option. Called back, and was told that I had to use my credit card. I asked if I would be charged, and the person answering the phone was so rude and obnoxious that I said forget it, I just want my money back. She then told me that she was refusing my business. She was so rude, could not enunciate sentences and so very obnoxious, that I don't think I want any of you touching my hair. Just had the most terrible experience at Tamed Hair Salon. I walked in and waited a bit for someone to realize I was there for an appointment. There were 2 workers there and neither one had a mask on. When I asked if they wear masks she said no and I should’ve read that on the website. I said well it’s a Pennsylvania law so I figured workers would wear them. She said “well I’m not sick and I’m not wearing a mask.” Due to personal reasons I told her I wasn’t going to stay then. I used to love going there, it was great, but then, in the middle of the worst part of COVID, I went in and only my stylist would wear a mask.. everyone else wasn't. It was a safety issue for me. Also...it was a mandate that they wear masks...if they don't care about the safety of their clients AND the restrictions put in place by the state, then what else do they not care about? It got sloppy for me. I loved my stylist but that was a big red flag for me. And now she's decided to insult me and my children. Highly professional. I couldn't even try this place because they THEY DON'T ADHERE TO CDC GUIDELINES RELATED TO COVID! I was excited to get my hair done for the first time in a long time, and thought to check out Yelp the night before my appointment. I noticed a reviewer's comment about their no mask policy. I checked their website and it was confirmed. I was looking forward to trying this salon for the first time today. Unfortunately they are not following the Pennsylvania requirements for face coverings. I asked Brielle if she would wear a mask during my appointment and she refused insisting there was no need because she didn't feel sick and it's not a thing. She said she posted it to the website however I was unable to locate said information. There were no Covid precautions taken. If you are following CDC guidance, do not go to this salon. Just got my hair cut here for the first time and I’m so happy I tried this place! Brielle looked at the photo I brought and was like “I love it, I’m gonna do it a little different” and honestly this is the best cut I’ve ever had. We chopped so much hair off and I’ve never felt better! I really appreciate all the time and cuts, thinning and styling. Usually after a change it takes me like a week to adjust but I’m in immediate love!

So, I made an appointment to get my hair done after I purchased a Groupon for Tamed hair salon. The process was easy and I was able to get the time and date that fit into my schedule. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised by the green ivy decor. It gave the salon a feeling of comfort, which eased my nervousness about getting my hair done and how it would look afterwards. I was early so I got to see two other customers as they were finishing up and their hair styles looked so wow, so I felt more relaxed. I booked an appt with Brielle to get my hair cut a few days ago and was pretty disappointed. I asked for an inch and a half off and it was definitely at least 3 inches that was taken off. Additionally, the ends are uneven and jagged. I will now need to go somewhere else to get it fixed since my hair is so straight it is very obvious.

Brielle was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, sweet, and gave great advice concerning my hair. I went there for an express keratin (which turned out amazing) and I plan on going back for my color. I have difficult hair that seems to be easily messed up if the stylist doesn't know color extremely well. Brielle told me exactly what she would do when she does my color and for once I'm confident going to someone new. She knows hair and she knows color. I highly recommend Brielle. Again, my keratin turned out great.

I used a Groupon for a keratin treatment and am thrilled so far with how it feels and looks. Brielle used an all natural product by GK, and it is applied a little differently than treatments I've had before. It's applied on wet hair, sets for a while, then is rinsed, followed by blow dry and straightening. We'll see how it holds up. And her dog Boo is a doll.

I originally came across this salon on Groupon, a balayage, haircut, deep conditioning, and toner for $115. I thought, why not, it has good reviews on Groupon. I looked for Tamed on Yelp and it had horrible reviews but I decided to call and make an appointment anyways. I made the first available appointment and I was assigned with Jess. Brielle has been my stylist from Day 1. My experience is that she is friendly and customer oriented. And the quality and price can't be beat.

I called to make an appt for a cut and color and the salon was able to fit me in within a day's notice, which I was thrilled about. The day of the appt, I drove 30 mins to get there and upon arrival was told to sit and wait for my stylist. 20 minutes goes by and the other stylist informed me that I had rescheduled my appt and the stylist would not be there- I did not reschedule, and no one contacted me to reschedule. I can't comment on the quality of this salon's work but am disappointed in their organizational ability and how they blamed me for the faux reschedule.

I spent 250$ for da keratin treatment which did not last even for a single day...
They will give u all the lame excuses for not getting da things write, instead of redoing the treatment , they will just walk out of the situation.
Don't waste your hard earned money .

I also bought the Living Social keratin treatment. I've had the normal keratin treatment 4 times before, with great results. I paid $150 for this treatment, and am sorely disappointed with the results. Brielle did give me an explanation as to why GK is better than the others, saying she's never had one complaint. Reading these reviews would lead me to believe otherwise.
My hair is STILL frizzy and looks like it does after 4 months of a regular treatment. I know I took a chance with this product/salon using a coupon, but for the amount of money I paid, I expected better results. Not pleased
