Services
These clients decided to move from a rural area to the city and asked our help blending their very different tastes. This 18-year-old home needed a complete renovation and our clients asked us to project manage the entire process. Every surface and visual detail required updating to get the look they wanted.
Every aspect of this hillside desert home was carfully planned and designed by Hector Romero and Chris Obeji, romero + obeji interior design. Both also project managed every step of construction to ensure all design and construction details were being executed at the highest level required to create this architectural masterpiece.
When we met these clients, they were already in planning stages to add a loft space above the existing living room. After reviewing their plans, we confirmed that the design was well thought out. With some suggestions regarding lighting and window locations we approved the design to proceed. The benefits of having a separate den for the kids and visiting friends is a perfect plan for the whole family.
Our client purchased this Mediterranean home which has some great spaces and an interesting layout, but the colors and finishes needed a redo because of the over use of yellowish - cream beiges from the 90's. Most finishes were updated, and modifications to cabinetry and fireplace reducing the abundant use of arches throughout the home.
Our international professional client relocated to US and moved into to this new home with only her clothes. The interior floor plan is open concept and now personalized by designers focusing on the client's lifestyle experience in each space. New european furniture and custom-built ins elevated the homes design and maximized the foot print.

Still a work in progress, but Chris and Hector have really transformed our mid-century house. They were very patient and reassuring as we’re not very good at visualizing the proposed changes and now we’re so grateful for their ability to see the potential in our home. They had so many great ideas for our new siding, doors, windows and even the idea to top the pickets on the fence made a huge difference. We absolutely love our new yellow door with the frosted glass that brings in so much extra light! We love that now our home is now one of the best on the block! We’re now working on the interior

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hector and Chris. Our project turned out amazing and we took out all the things in our home that had no use any longer including columns, fireplace, and master bathroom tub. We have a timeless design that will take us through many more years at our home. Although our project was in Texas, we had no issues with Hector and Chris being in California. They knew what we needed even though we did not realize it. I would recommend Hector and Chris again and again. They redesigned the entire bottom floor along with the guest bathroom upstairs.
