Sheryl Lilke Mindfulness-Informed Psychotherapy & Emdr
If you're thinking about starting therapy, you've taken the first important step on the path to a sense of true, embodied well-being. It's a journey that takes courage and commitment, and it ends with a renewed sense of emotional freedom, increased self-acceptance, and a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.

As a professional counselor in Madison, WI, I'm devoted to supporting you on this challenging and transformational journey. I'm also a fellow traveler. As I've traveled my own path to wellness, I've discovered that no single philosophy or intervention holds all the answers to life's many challenges.
Services
I'm a professional counselor and teacher of mindfulness meditation living with my family in Madison, Wisconsin. Like you, I've experienced many of life's challenges and transitions-I've raised two sons, changed careers, navigated shifting family dynamics, lost loved ones, and explored the early stages of my own middle age.
In my counseling work I weave Western psychology, Eastern philosophy, and holistic mindfulness and body practices together to help you access your inner wisdom and innate healing potential. Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is an approach to trauma resolution that has been backed by years of research.
Mindfulness-Informed Psychotherapy & Somatic Psychology: Healing Within a Genuine and Trusting Relationship. In my counseling work I weave somatic, body-based psychology, Eastern philosophy, and holistic mindfulness and movement practices together to help you access your inner wisdom and innate healing potential.
Trauma may be experienced as a single life-threatening event or a long series of subtle threats to our safety, autonomy, and well-being. For many of us, trauma can have serious, long-lasting effects that disrupt our emotional, physical, and spiritual development. When this happens, we may need to seek PTSD treatment.
I like to think of spiritual practice as the steps we take to ensure that our actions in the world align with our inner ideals. As a Buddhist practitioner, the ideas of non-harming, interdependence, and impermanence serve as a sort of compass as I move through my life. Yoga and meditation create a space where I gain insight into the patterns, or grooves, my thoughts and emotions can sometimes get stuck in.
