Delicious! The wild mushroom fettucine is delicious, & certainly enough for 2 people to split with a salad or appetizer.

Inedible. Just asked for a refund via grubhub. Sauce is great but the "noodles" or what I would call lumps of undercooked dough are horrendous. To serve this to a customer or how this place stays in business is just beyond me. Merry Christmas

This was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a very long time. I gave it only 4 stars because the bread was mediocre compared to the rest of the meal. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

Was so excited to try this joint; sorry to say the experience was a disappointment. Service was excellent throughout, so there's that. Aside from a great wine list, I don't think I could recommend the food. We opened with fried calamari: it was basically fine but not remarkable; good sauces alongside. My chicken marsala had a smattering of mushrooms and hardly any sauce atop a dry breast which itself sat atop a truly bizarre cajun risotto? Not sure where peppery risotto meets chicken marsala, but I guess they get together at Portofino's. The side was roasted winter squash, which

This is a great little place. Its unassuming and modest on the outside. Once inside, you are in for a treat. The staff is attentive and professional, the food REALLY good and wine list is stellar! Its a cozy environment that invites you in and makes you want to stay.

Great food, solid service, comfy yet classic. Nice variety of Italian cuisine, from Osso Bucco to Gnocchi to Ravioli. Very nicely presented with excellent quality and flavor. Pretty nice wine list as well. An enjoyable evening overall!

Few years to get here. (Actually about 25+). Quiet, refined, unobtrusive & delicious. Not rushed to enjoy the company, food & atmosphere. I was driving so I could not enjoy a glass of wine. My Michelin Star of 3 (only because I had to drive & not enjoy a nice Italian red).

I've had a few lovely meals here. The pastas are traditional and well accomplished. The wine list is fine and the bartender knows what's up.

A couple of dimly lit rooms.
Some interesting prints of old Sellwood on the walls with a few nice paintings.
Quick friendly service.
Nice music that was playing at an enjoyable volume.
We had the sausage cavatelli and the shrimp scampi ravioli.
The meal arrived within about 15 minutes.
The cavatelli was good with a nice texture but the sausage was unremarkable as was the sauce.
The ends of the ravioli in the shrimp dish were dry and hard. The sauce was okay nothing more and the cherry tomatoes were not cooked at all.
Bread was served as one slice that was torn up in to pieces.

Hadn't been here in years, but excited to go back. Made a reservation for a Sunday night, restaurant half full. Got seated, gave our orders and then Waited ONE HOUR + 20 minutes to get our 4 entrees, 2 of which were from their daily sheet. No special requests, no apologies offered, no explanations, no comp. Won't be back.

Overpriced. Waiter knew nothing including how to talk or communicate anything. Wine was good but more of a splash or tasting quantity. My Prawn Ravioli was descent but small and had a strong flower taste. My wife’s lasagna which she liked was a good portion but lacked that special taste/ touch of quality you would think you would get for the price. I know this place is new so if nothing I hope this helps them improve. 2 meals, a beer, and a glass of wine for $90 with tip.

This is the best dinner we have had in Portland this year.

We used to come here but had not been for a couple of years. We had the gnocchi appetizer which is one of the best things I've ever had.

I had the mushroom fettuccini which was amazing, and he had the sole special which he said is the best fish he has had in years. Incredibly light with delicate crust.

Wonderful service, laid back atmosphere.

Five of us dined here Saturday night and the entire meal from beginning to end was fantastic. Three of the diners were first time patrons and we were in for a birthday celebration.

We shared two appetizers, first one was a mushroom, garlic, and cheese dish served hot to be spread on garlic bread. It was outstanding and i would go back just for that. Next we ordered calamari that has chickpea coating and gluten free. I'm not a huge calamari fan but this was easily the best I've ever had. It was crispy and not at all greasy, tender with great flavor. The dipping sauce was complimentary

The impossible happened. While I have always enjoyed dinner here, the major deterrence was the poor wheelchair accessible entrance. Since the remodeling this is no longer an issue as you use the entrance from the parking lot on the west side. The food is both delicious and very authentic. The staff are very professional and if it's not on the menu, just ask, they really do make dreams come true.

This is one of two establishments I have found that I feel authentic 30% tip is justified.

On our first trip to Portofino we had a perfectly acceptable experience; the lasagna was good, the wine was nice, and we were able to overlook the weird service situation - it's clear that the owner/manager is the only one to take orders, make drinks, or greet tables. We decided to try things out for a second time, and it all fell apart....

The service situation of one server/bartender/manager/cashier is extremely questionable given that on a Wednesday night this place was fully packed with a number of tables that had six-eight people (we were only two people). As this guy is the ONLY person

My wife and I went here on a hunch and a random online search for good places to eat in the S.E. area. Absolutely amazing experience.
The staff was friendly and SUPER on their game... anticipating our needs before we needed them. They were awesome, and probably psychic.
Most certainly going back.

We had a nice dinner here the other night. We were seven and all were happy.

The place was busy. The service was good. The food and drinks came in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, the experience was very good.

Most of their wine choices are Italian. The choices are good and the prices are reasonable. That does not mean cheap. There is a good variety of styles and prices. You can spend some money.

We ordered two orders of their family style Caesar salad. They serve three to four, depending on your appetite. The croutons were excellent. The dressing was nicely balanced with a bit of lemon
