Arthur Redman Wilfley was described in a 1927 issue of Engineering and Mining Journal as an inventor-genius who personified Thomas Edison's recipe for genius in that 90% of the ingredients for an inventor is perspiration and 10% is inspiration.

Arthur Wilfley designed and patented numerous inventions throughout his lifetime with his two most noteworthy being the revolutionary concentrating table for the separation of ore and the packingless centrifugal pump.It was the invention of the packingless centrifugal pump that led Arthur Wilfley and his two sons to establish A.R. Wilfley and Sons, Inc. in 1919.

Wilfley invented the dynamic expeller almost a century ago and has continued to lead advancements in hydrodynamic sealing technologies ever since. It has been the foundation for every Wilfley pump design, dating all the way back to the ground-breaking Model A slurry pump in 1919. The Wilfley dynamic expeller provides ZERO leakage during pump operation.
Wilfley's Alloy C Max superalloy is a specially processed nickel base steel alloy for highly corrosive applications. Alloy C Max superalloy is a nickel base steel alloy (ASTM 494 Grade CW2M) that has been specially processed to improve the microstructure and remove carbides. The improved microstructure provides an increased elongation and corrosion resistance over standard CW2M.

As I was heading to work last night, my tire blew out on the highway during rush hour traffic! I pulled over in what appeared to be a safe parking lot to inspect the damage. As I got out of my car, I heard a kind man say "Do you need help ma'am? " And oh my goodness, yes I did!
