We took a sunset cruise and learned a TON about the local history, lobster fishing and wild life. We got to see the Egg Rock light house, lots of seals and birds. It was amazing and had the most beautiful sunset. I would definitely recommend!!

My husband and I totally enjoyed the lighthouse tour we took today. We should have prepared more for how chilly it was with sea breezes but we sat in side and we were able to stay comfortable. Be sure to bring a coat and hat even if it is warm out because the temperature is quite a bit cooler at sea particular when we sailed in mid October.

They sell Dramamine at the ticket office which is good to take 1-2 hours before sailing. I get sea sick and I was happy not to be forced to run to a drug store for it.

They have limited snacks and water and coffee are available on board but they only take

Had a great sunset trip. Not too crowded. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Went down stairs when I got a little chilled towards the end. Bring binoculars or you can rent some for $5.

My mom and I took a trip up to Maine and had such an incredible time. We chose to spend our last night in Bar Harbor on a sunset cruise with Acadian Boat Tours. Best decision we made the whole trip and what a way to end our time in Maine. Gorgeous sunset views, sea life, fresh air and amazing guides. Thanks for an unforgettable evening Acadian Boat Tours!

Came on a sunset nature cruise and the views were amazing! The nice thing about this company is that it's BYOB. So we brought some beers to share on the ride. The staff members were very nice. The speakers downstairs were not loud enough for the engine in the back though so I missed a lot of things they said. You definitely need to get here 30 minutes early if you want a seat on the top deck. We got there 15 minutes before the cruise started and the line was so long and we ended up on the bottom floor. There is parking at the hotel but definitely limited. So get there early!

Beautiful scenery but if you are wanting fishing I recommend spending the extra and going with a diff boat. We spent more time riding from place to place than fishing. There were too many people on the boat. Spent all my time untangling my line because we were so close.

We took two of their cruises—Lighthouses and Puffins the following day.
And excellent value for the tickets.
Carl is the best tour guide appreciating things from his former tourist perspective. The local recommendations they give are great—we followed nearly every one and were not sorry.
Skye was our guide for seeing the puffins which also included some light houses. I think this tour is where every tourist should start. Excellent history and overview of the harbor. Cannot say enough good things. Get the binoculars the tiny birds are so cute!

Awesome adventure! Captain Esther and her crew kept everyone on their toes, lines in the water and smiles on their faces. What a great time "post-Covid". I caught my wife's line and Eli made quick work to troubleshoot the mess with a witty question, "Do you want to throw her back?"
That young man earned his tip that day.
Easily a top 10 weather day and just as easy rating this 5 stars. Definitely a must-do when you're in Bar Harbor.
Thanks so much for a wonderful time with my family.

The Sightseeing and Nature cruise is very informative! They give you a lot of history about the surrounding islands. We saw lots of seals lounging on Egg Rock, the Egg Rock Lighthouse, so many birds and even some porpoises! Highly recommended if you're looking for a 2 hour cruise in the Bar Harbor area.

I can't give this enough stars. We originally thought about doing a seal tour but decided to book the sunset cruise.

Weather was perfect, the narrator was great and I don't think we could have seen anything more! From harbor seals, porpoises to a SHARK, we were so impressed with what the tour had to offer.

My wife and I booked a sight seeing your with Acadian Boat Tours, but unfortunately on the day of our trip it was so foggy you couldn't see 10 feet ahead of you. We were disappointed knowing the trip would be a waste and that we'd be out $80 and spent two hours on a boat staring at fog. What I didn't expect was receiving an email from the company saying due to the fog our boat ride was cancelled and they'd already refunded our full ticket cost! With no effort on my part, the issue was completely resolved. I would absolutely recommend confidently booking with Acadian Boat Tours

Okay so this is tough to not give a 5. I loved the people and the environment. But please invest in better speakers. There was so much knowledge to be learned but most people couldn't hear. I'm not sure if it was just my boat and time.. but it wasn't much of a tour. From what I heard of the guide he's very intelligent. However, I heard maybe 5 words. Friends and I had to piece together things here and there.

Also - BYOB and they allow smoking... which no one did but still odd lol

Really enjoyed our sunset boat cruise around Bar Harbor! The captain was really knowledgeable and energetic and was providing us with so much information about the islands, animals, lighthouses, etc. He even took us to this spot where we could see some seals. It was beautiful.

They did a good job with social distancing and I felt like the boat was really clean. People were allowed to sit every other row, and you were supposed to have your mask on if you got up, but not everyone followed that. My one complaint is that they allow smoking on the back of the boat. The direction the boat was going
