They have so much at the Ace Hardware in downtown Bozeman. I found things that I could not find online. Management is thinking here. It shines out in your store. My compliments to management here and the owner. The older lady at the cash register is absolutely awesome. She has helped me before and she is very knowledgeable in what she is talking about, what a genuinely nice and kind professional! I felt like a valued customer. Unfortunately, this is a rarity here in Bozeman. I also went to the other Ace Hardware that is also owned by the owner of this downtown store and it was excellent too.

Upon my recent and final visit to Owenhouse Ace west, the customer service that I was greeted with was absolutely horrendous. Quite honestly the most difficult and inferior customer service I have ever received in my time. I had a paint project so I required help for my project, while waiting for what seemed like eternity, eventually help had showed up. During my time at the paint counter another customer had showed and another employee had came over and helped. I recently purchased an item that had a part break within 2 days. The manufacturer offered to send me a replacement part, but it was on backlog and would not arrive for 3 to 4 weeks. When I spoke to the staff at Owenhouse, they came to my house the next day and replaced the part from another unit, and now my item works perfectly. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product without being pushy. I was very impressed with the service received.

This was my first time shopping here and I am beyond impressed with the friendliness of all the employees here. I wish I knew the name of the employee who helped me in the plumbing aisle. He saved me hours of trying to figure out a solution to my kitchen faucet installation. He knew which flexible hose and adapter pieces I needed. I was so excited to get home and finish installing my new faucet without having to make extra trips to the hardware store!

I had the displeasure of experiencing the helpful hardware store while trying to replace a couple of cracked sockets. Craftsman has always had a free replacement so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately they don't have 6 sided sockets but rather 12 sided that are made in China. Still better than my split sockets I thought. Anyhow 30 min later after taking to 5 different employees and twice with the same manager I finally was charged several dollars for some cheap Chinese 12 sided sockets. Would give zero stars if I could. I have had numerous occasions in which I have been shown no respect and treated like garbage. slow slow service times, and literally zero respect for clientele. Most of the younger techs are really good to work with, but the old guard has no idea how to run a business. If someone is looking to spend $6k for a bike or more, you would expect to see some customer service.

Ace is the place! I just love going to Ace. Good people, good products, good location, decent prices, and did I say good people?
Interesting tid-bit: I'm a regular there, so they know me and trust me. I was looking for an obscure part and the guy said "Maybe we have something in the basement that will work." Did you know there's a basement store-room that is the entire footprint of the store? Maybe bigger? (Not sure, but it might go under the Co-Op or perhaps under the bike shop behind the store.) It's huckin' fuge!

I Owenhouse Ace Hardware. They have everything you need in housewares, tools and miscellaneous stuff. But more than stuff, they have the best customer service ever. Special shout out to Matthew who fixed my nightlight ... it took three tries but he insisted on that I bring it back in for the final fix! Thank for being an eight minute walk for my new home.

Usually people here are almost too helpful so I don't mind paying a little more for an item. However, on Monday I had a pretty bad experience. I called the Ace at the mall looking for washing soda. Not a common item to me but supposedly used all the time. There was no one to see if they had it immediately so they took my phone number.

Definitely the best hardware store in town for service and attention. Huge variety of goods here's a quick list of life saving items from this week: air compressor part, hot tub drain plug, cutting board restore and finish, sand paper, paint, light switch, extension cord, roof warmer, heat tape, expert advice, partridge, pear tree.

I had been looking around all day for a bearing to fix the fan for my fireplace. I was fed up with being told to just buy a new fan ($150) or being told they didn't have the part i needed. Once I got to ace the first associate to help me was genuine in trying to help me find the right part ( i wish i caught her name) she then lead to me Ron who immediately new i needed just one 25 cent nylon bushing. He found the bushing and put it in the fan and the fan works great. Great place, genuine people!
