Synopsis
I recognized muddled service immediately upon being seated at the bar causing me to abbreviate my order. I had 2 Chambord & champagne drinks, páté appetizer, baguette, black coffee, shot of kahlúa and carrot cake. The páté was highly emulsified and delicious. The carrot was flavorful and fresh. The bartended told me the bakery next door makes their baguettes and deserts. I think that is a wise and mutually beneficial business relationship.

I arrived in Front Royal early for an activity later in the evening on Friday, October 22. Unfamiliar with FR restaurants

This is a special place on Main Street in Front Royal. I call it my "Cheers" place; I walk in and staff say, "Hi Tammie" 💗
I love their Tapas (small shareable plates of food). Their daily flatbreads for Happy Hour are to die for (I always get whatever the Chef's Special is), never disappointed and some of the most fantastic original cocktails. The latest, "Frothy the Snowman" by Mr. Chris Carbone! A couple of pics included.

Chris is an amazing chef, and very clearly a master of his craft. The rilettes were out of this world and moving on an emotional level. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in town, go. Just go, there is no better place. The rilettes were just on point. The sauce for the scallops was amazing and the heat in it was balanced perfectly, and they were cooked properly and not rubbery in the slightest. The duck was phenomenal and juicy and tasty and the mustard/soy sauce mix was fun and new for me and paired really well with the duck. There is nothing to nitpick about here, it's just amazing

I highly recommend this restaurant. First, and foremost of course is the food. The menu has excellent variety. The scallops and the duck were highlights, but all the plates were well-prepared and flavorful. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
If you are in Front Royal, I think you will find this a pleasant surprise. Ignore the reviews about plates being too small, and prices too high. Those folks need to find an Applebee's.

I love visiting Skyline Drive and drive out from where I live in Northern Virginia to see the sunsets, sunrises, nightscapes, flora, and fauna.
However, on this particular trip, I learned of this restaurant and decided to go find it. I am glad that I did and I will be a returning customer the next time I go out Front Royal's way.
The service was polite and professional. Also, the server we had, Whitney, was accurate in taking our orders and the food came out as expected, hot as expected. I met the Executive Chef, and he was a delight to chat with and very professional.

Whether you're just driving through the area or staying in Front Royal for skyline drive or kayaking the Shenandoah river, you do not want to pass up an early or late dinner at ViNoVA Tapas Bar on Main St. The wine selection rivals even the fine dining spots in Dupont Circle in DC. The Chef, Chris, brings together a wide influence of culinary delights served in the traditional Spanish "Tapas" format. Perfect for tasting and sharing. Our first time here we enjoyed excellent Gazpacho along with Manchego, Camambert and Goat cheeses along with prosciutto and bowl of mixed olives. We

I wanted to love this place as soon as i walked into its cozy, artistic space...but too many disappointments accumulated to make the experience lackluster. the server didn't know much about the menu and couldn't answer my questions about the different dishes. i asked if the seafood was fresh or frozen, they said frozen, then when they saw my disappointment, took it back and said it wasn't. really?
they were out of so many things - from wine, to cheese, to small plates, so many menu items weren't available. and the server didn't know up front, so we'd order, they

My wife and I found this little gem on our way to Shenandoah National Park. It felt like eating at a friend’s house. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere was incredible, and the owners/staff felt like old friends. I felt like I was eating in a 21st century Mayberry (from the Andy Griffith Show). If you’re in the area then this place is a must. A little pricey but well worth it. This isn’t some chain restaurant serving microwaveable meals that are disguised to look homemade and fresh. This is the real deal!

The food takes a very long time to come out. We weren't timing it, but it felt excessive to wait 15+ min for a salad, another 15+ min for mashed potatoes, and 20+ min in between each main. And the place wasn't packed either so it wasn't an issue of having to wait for other tables to be served. The mashed potatoes were good but everything else was mediocre at best - not worth the price.

I came here for dinner with a friend, we tried several of the dishes and I had one cocktail. The food was delicious and very original. I was most touched however by the hospitality of the staff and the energy of this place. During our visit there was a power outage in the city, but the service continued seamlessly as if nothing had happened. Later it came up in the conversation with our server that the oven wasn't working due to the outage and that's why that had made our cod cake stove top! I was simply delighted with their geniality in offering such excellent service. I'll be back

Cannot wait to go back. We had dinner plans elsewhere but, stopped in for a first time visit to try it out. Husband is not a vino guy and was thrilled to learn they had a nice bourbon with a big cube!! The Lumpia was excellent. I kept asking what each dish was coming out of the kitchen was so I could be sure and try it next visits. Please never leave FR

What a fantastic dining experience! Went there tonight for my birthday dinner, the food was nothing short of amazing. Lobster bisque with huge chunks of lobster... Crab roll was on a large, toasty bun with juicy, jumbo lumb crab meat, warm, and soft with zero mayonnaise. The best thing was actually the pate! Best I've ever had. Each dish shines.

This place is EVERYTHING! The food is amazing, the flavors are continuously exciting and the waiters as incredible. I particular love the environment. Clean, crisp and airy! The wine selection is to die for. I love the France selections in particular. We live in Bowie, MD and each time we come to this area we return!! It's worth the money and the visit.

My sister and I dropped by Front Royal after a hike and once I saw their menu I was hooked.
Our meal was outstanding! From 2 plates, one with delicious Pate and the other with goat cheese served up with a honeycomb and both served with freshly baked bread, to the lobster bisque, perfectly cooked duck, pork belly and crab roll overflowing with crab meat I though my taste buds were crying with happiness!
Chris the chef was friendly and so happy to talk with customers!
I wish we lived closer... this is a true diamond!

Excellent experience. Fresh ingredients perfectly combined to make the best dishes with European influenced cuisine. Big variety of wines to be paired with the tapas. Comfortable, eclectic, modern, and group friendly environment. It's a must try when in Front Royal. A nice little gem in a quaint town. Great deal on the happy hour and many vegetarian/vegan options available. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Everything here is delicious! Would recommend, 13 out of 10. We have travelled widely around the world and the US, and in comparison to our experience, can say that Vinova offers world class food and service. Words cannot describe how much we highly recommend. We tried the crab roll, tuna, pork belly and chorizo. Everything was incredibly delicious. Came here during a trip to Shenandoah during COVID and everything felt distant and safe. Staying in Luray felt like a food desert, but little did we know that Front Royal was just a short trip down the road. We tried a couple of places but Vinova was

Been meaning to get out there since they opened. Found myself hungry late in the evening and not wanting drive thru food. Very impressed with that selection of highend food in Front Royal. Tried 3 small plates, everything was perfect and delicious. Chris gave great recommendations and great service. Think I found my go to spot in Fro Ro. Good work guys keep it up!
