Most of the financial world views wages and benefits as the company's biggest expenses. Because of the understanding I bring from my background in human resources, my practice is built on a contrarian approach. It's fine by me when I'm accused of being eccentric for building my business on making a difference in the lives of my clients and their employees.
I grew up in a family of six that prided themselves on being financially disciplined and conservative. I was searching for a way to apply these concepts through my degree in Finance. As President of the Student Ambassadors for the McCoy College of Business, I met my mentor in the financial services industry.
After beginning my career in a business built on selling products, I discovered that most of the financial planning industry is built on a broken model. Advisors inside of most companies are required to focus on strategies that make the most money for the business. It's harder to help clients with what they truly need when your boss is constantly focused on selling them products.
During the years I owned a medical equipment business, my financial advisor built a portfolio for me that included income protection strategies. In the great recession of '08, I discovered friends and family didn't have this same financial protection from their advisors.
With so many friends concerns about the future increasing because of the lack of financial security, I was able to lean on my portfolio to transition into a career that allowed me to spend more time with my family.With much gratitude, I truly wanted to help others in the same way. So I joined the firm to become an advisor myself.

I appreciate how mutual understanding was created through economy of words that did not confuse me as we spoke of financial jargon, that can be super intimidating. Chris and Bobby are simple amazing. When I found them online, I had no idea they would become such an important part of my family’s financial planning. They’re professional, knowledgeable, and responsive and always act with our best interest at heart. Even though they have a good variety of investment and planning options to offer, they never pressure us to go one way or another. They’re just always there to help guide, and support. Bobby Russell is one of the most ethical, genuine and knowledgeable people I know. Bobby started helping me plan for my retirement nearly 20 years ago.
