Wondering why I'm not booking or blogging sessions these days? In July, I tied up loose ends and photographed my last few families of the year, and now it's been more than two months now since my family made our move to Panama. We're living, working, and schooling here for ten months, and we're loving it.
We're located in Panama's interior, about four hours from the capital, in the perfect place for exploring the mountains, beaches, and towns off the beaten path. If you'd like to follow our adventures, we're posting over at our blog: Panama-ah! I CAN NOT WAIT for the weather to make up its mind, so that I can start shooting at the beach!

I CAN NOT WAIT for the weather to make up its mind, so that I can start shooting at the beach! So in the meantime, I'm thinking back to the end of beach weather last year when I photographed this sweet family for the second time. It was great to see little S as a one-year-old after photographing her as a newborn not so long ago.
It's time to update the blog with the "What I Did This Summer" report! There were oh-so-many wonderful sessions with fun families, and this one is from back in May. The dad called me and explained that his oldest daughter was graduating from high school and moving overseas for college and he wanted some photos of everyone together before she was gone.
I have photographed my dear friend Audra's family more times than I can count, and it's awesome because she always has great ideas for locations and concepts. This time, we were documenting baby P's first steps. He was on the verge of walking for a while and when I finally got the call, I knew we had to act fast while those steps were still new and before he got to be too much of a pro at strolling around.
Before your session, we'll talk about what you plan to wear, and I'm happy to make suggestions on what will photograph best. I've even had clients send me a quick cellphone photo of the whole family's outfits to get some input--I love that! Clothing can make or break a photo, so it's important to take the time and choose outfits that will make you look and feel your best!
