A self-proclaimed "smartass, " Michael Kent succeeds at changing the old saying that "nobody likes a smartass." A resident of Columbus, Ohio, Comedian and Magician Michael Kent gives the ancient art of magic a facelift with an irreverent and often satirical comedic spin. Michael spent his younger years learning magic to make friends and meet girls.
Michael's show has been acclaimed by America's top universities as everything from "Wildly Original, " to "Clever, Sarcastic and Absolute Fun!" From revealing stories about being a magician to interactive routines with audience members onstage, the fun doesn't stop in this 60-minute diversion from the typical "magic show."
Michael is available to consult with performers on adapting their show to use a handheld microphone. Michael will come to your location and work with you on blocking, scripting, choreography and routining in order to use a handheld mic. Michael charges a daily fee plus travel. If I could give Michael 10 stars, I would. He was absolutely fantastic. The strolling, close-up magic was a huge hit and his performance was highly entertaining and fun. Guests of all ages loved him and we could have watched him perform for hours. He was delightful to work with and I can't recommend him highly enough!

Michael Kent was a fantastic event partner to work with for our online student community. Michael and his agent Laura were very communicative and responsive to all of our needs leading up to the virtual magic show and the show itself was SO MUCH FUN!! Michael was charismatic, funny and authentic. I hosted Michael Kent for a virtual magic show for students and their families. The contract process was very easy and Michael and his agent were very responsive. The show was FANTASTIC! Michael Kent performed his virtual show for our team's year end event, and everyone absolutely loved it. There were too many 'Wows!' 'Awesomes!' and 'What's?' to count, and it was a great opportunity for our team members to be able to include their whole family in something that they were doing for work. We highly recommend Michael Kent for any party. We hired him for my son's 10th virtual birthday party and he was just a perfect 10! What an AMAZING experience this was for children of all ages participating and the adults as well! Michael was so engaging and so memorizing and left everyone amazed. There was over 50 devices and he kept over 100 kids and adults engaged! He made a quarantine birthday party so memorable, so special and so fun! This will be a party all the kids will remember forever! One of the best experiences these kids have had all quarantine! What a great party! So talented

It was an absolute pleasure working with Michael! He was very professional and was open to taking the time to customize our show to meet our specific needs. It has been a struggle finding entertainers that can easily transition to performing virtually, but Michael did it perfectly! His show was great for an audience of all ages. Not only did he AMAZE everyone by performing his magic tricks, he did a great job of keeping a consistent flow in the show and kept everyone engaged.

We brought Michael Kent to Franklin College. The students absolutely loved him and his show. We brought Michael to campus in early September, and I still hear people talking about his show in late November. I've even had students ask me if we can bring him back next year. I would recommend Michael to any campus looking for a hilarious and entertaining show!

We have used Michael Kent for two different shows within our company this year. The slight of hand tricks are top notch and keeps people asking for more! The mix of comedy and magic is mixed perfectly through his show. He has the unique ability to perform one on one, small group or large group and get the same result of a delighted audience. Michael is very easy to work with and a true professional on the stage and behind the scene. After seeing him perform twice this year, I am already excited to see a 3rd show! I first saw Michael Kent perform when I was in college - intrigued by the "Comedian, Magician, Smartass" tagline, I went to the student union to check out his performance. As the tagline suggests, Michael's act is a combination of humor and magic - mocking magic while simultaneously impressing the audience with magic.
