Borracha Mexican Cantina
The dead come to life at Borracha. With decorative and festival skulls watching over guests, Borracha, located in Green Valley Ranch, is as dangerous as you want it to be. With a nod toward the famed Day of the Dead, the Borracha offers Mexican-inspired dishes and features a drink menu with an abundance of cervezas, tequila and specialty cocktails to take the edge off.

The menu is as seductive as the surroundings, featuring sharable plates, inventive burritos and entrees that would make any skeleton want come back to life. Made-from- scratch tortillas and addictive tacos featuring rotisserie chicken, slow-cooked short ribs and fresh Baja fish gives your palate and explosion of flavor.

Great service and staff. Definitely no complaints there. The food not a big fan. I think this is more of a Tex-Mex place which isn't too bad depending where you go. Or depending what your tastes are just wasn't my liking. I can usually tell how good or bad a Mexican restaurant is based on the chips and salsa alone so that should have been the warning. But great location inside the casino and conveniently located if you just want to grab a quick bite and aren't as particular about your Mexican food.

I wish I took pictures but I had failed.

My friends dragged me here to Tacos and Tequila. When we arrived I literally watch a lady vomit her insides up right on the floor. Well obviously this fine lady cannot handle her drinking or the food is terrible.

Anywho, we sit down.. mind you there are 10 of us. The server was amazing and I wish I could remember his damn name. He took care of us right away bringing a round of shots and margaritas as well as putting in for tacos.

The tequila obviously is a little rough going down but as for the tacos it's simply chicken or beef. No cilantro, onions

Borracha is a delicious Mexican Cantina option if your live near GVR or if you live in Henderson. The Cantina has a relaxed, open vibe with fun interior that faces the GVR casino. They offer Happy Hour Monday-Friday (HH menu pictured) and I've tried most of the menu, all delicious.
Once we were seated they came around with complimentary chips and salsa, then took our dinner orders. The fajitas I ordered came with both chicken and steak. The portion sizes are decent for the price point value and both proteins had appetizing flavors that kept me from adding sour cream or other toppings to it

We gave Borracha a try, instead of our usual place, and we're very pleased. I had carnitas, and my wife had tacos. I also ordered a rocks margarita.

The margarita was good, and was not light on tequila! The food was good too. We'll be back!

Out of town guests wanted Mexican food and gambling, but didn't necessarily "have" to go to The Strip. Enter: Borracha!

Drinks, even the house margaritas, are strong: That's always a bonus. The menu gives you both traditional Mexicans dishes you'd expect and some twists. I had the grilled mahi mahi bowl (wasn't that hungry), but it was surprisingly flavorful, filling, and (felt) healthy: I was a little sad when it was all gone. I heard from my dining partners that the street corn was amazing and is so much better off the cob than on. Service was stellar, the atmosphere

We stumbled across Borracha on Christmas Day. The restaurant is easy to access within Green Valley Ranch. The ambiance of the restaurant is trendy and casual, with an inviting atmosphere. Our server was prompt, attentive, and personable.

The chips, salsa, and queso were perfect.

Entrees: carne assada burrito (with red and green sauce) and carne assada enchiladas (in green sauce), served with rice and beans. Our food was decent, average dinner experience at a Mexican restaurant. Will visit again.

Pretty great find. Located inside GVR but easily accessible from front entrance. Ambiance is inviting and trendy. You are able to make reservations which is always a perk for me. The service was great both times I visited. The menu has some unique items.

The dynamite shrimp tacos and any of their dips will make a great appetizer. Guacamole was fabulous. I wish they offered a dip sampler so that you can try everything in one sitting. Fried Mahi tacos are what had me raving about this place. so delicate and light but equally filling and flavorful. The margaritas also pack a punch and you can choose

If you're hungry, if you're thirsty, you will not wait long for that Margarita or chips & ample salsa. The efficient female bartenders are in the know & very welcoming. And the accommodating manager Jackson Lee (always at hand) seems to run a tight ship.

We love the ambiance with the right lighting, noise level & easy distancing in booths & tables. I like that you can see the casino floor & be made a part of it all.

We ordered the chicken quesadilla & fajitas with chicken & shrimp. The quesadilla has its own delicious touch, & those fajitas are to

We made reservations for 6:30 and arrived a little early. The young ladies at the front said they would call us closer to 6:30. They weren't UNfriendly but they weren't super friendly- just kind of blah.

We were seated and ordered margaritas while perusing the menu. I will say the margaritas were amazing which is why I gave 3 stars and not 1. My daughter ordered a steak quesadilla and I ordered the chicken loco. We were so disappointed. The food was kind of like the young ladies at the front. Not good. Not bad. Just...blah. The chicken had no flavor like it was grilled plain

We have walked past Borracha a bunch of times but never actually took the opportunity to try it until this past weekend. We definitely enjoyed and will return!

We made reservations for a Sunday night but showed up about an hour early to have an appetizer and drink at the bar. There were plenty of seats at the bar and we had no problem grabbing a pair and sitting down. They had a bunch of TVs playing a variety of games so it would also be a nice spot to watch football and have a bite. We were greeted quickly and ordered a house margarita and a mango margarita. Both were made well and tasty

This is a nice Mexican restaurant in Green Valley Ranch Resort. They have a good Happy Hour, but this trip was on a Sunday. They do have brunch on weekends until 4:00 pm, but we ordered from the regular menu.

The chips and salsa they bring when you are going to order food is some of the best we have ever had. The chips are warm and the big bowl of salsa is fresh and obviously made at the restaurant.

The regular price for a 12 oz. Modelo draft at $10 is not good. This is not a Strip hotel. For a regular Mimosa, it is $11. But, you can get a bottomless Mimosa for $18.

OMG TACO TUESDAY!!!
All you can eat steak, chicken or shrimp tacos PLUS all you can drink tequila and margs. Say no more... literally best deal in town. The shrimp tacos cost extra but they're so worth it! Service is always on point when we come as well, and they aren't afraid to keep the shots coming. Make sure you book a reservation because Tuesday nights get packed. My favorite taco spot!

Came to Borracha with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary weekend. This restaurant, located inside of GVR Hotel and Casino, was excellent!
We started off with some chips and salsa, which I really enjoyed. For drinks, I had the La Casa Margarita and my boyfriend had the Obi-Juan (pun for obi-wan from Star Wars).
And lastly, for food, I had the grilled chicken flaming tequila fajita with rice and beans and my boyfriend had the bean and cheese burrito. My first choice was the grilled shrimp street tacos, but I chose the fajitas at the last second. They gave me three taco shells alongside salsa

I've dined at Borracha Mexican Cantina on a couple of occasions pre-pandemic and, frankly, I thought I had already yelped about it, but apparently, I was wrong. My latest trip to Borracha was on "Taco Tuesday" during Restaurant Week and this is my attempt to correct my previous oversight.

Borracha Mexican Cantina is the obligatory Mexican joint in Green Valley Ranch. Don't assume my description of Borracha as being dismissive since I've thoroughly enjoyed each of my experiences every time I've had food and drinks and this time was no exception. The place was packed

Came here for a graduation dinner and the service itself was good! The food initially was good. However, after eating the food myself and others in my party got extremely sick! I am not sure if we got sick from the queso but after this dinner we spent the rest of the weekend extremely sick

I've been in here a couple of times. I feel like its a hit or miss. I'm basing this review on my last visit which was late Saturday night. My friend & I wanted to venture out to gamble & my choice was GVR. I hadn't eaten dinner prior to arriving & knew I needed to get some food in me because @ my age drinking on an empty stomach is NOT a good idea....lol

We went over here to check out their menu & found that they had a late night happy hour (HH) going on. Actually that was all they were serving. HH starts @ 10pm & that's when they stop serving their full
