Wolke Nursery was founded in the 1930s by Paul T. Wolke and his wife Regina to supplement the income earned from their fruit business. After a period of time, they made the decision to get out of the fruit business and to concentrate on growing ornamental plants. In 1985, Paul and Regina's son, Paul J. Wolke, took over the family business with help from his two sons, Steve and Monte.
Wolke Nursery is a gold key grower for proven winner shrubs. Gold Key is the highest standard that Proven Winners offers to its growers. Wolke Nursery is one of the few select companies that has received the necessary training to achieve this title.
