The journey of Access Mobility began back in 1971, inside the small Indianapolis home of Raymond and Margie Jewell. Reading through the local newspaper, they came across an advertisement looking for sales representatives to help introduce a new product to the region: lift chairs. The Jewells answered that ad and began supplying this revolutionary new product all over Indiana, and ultimately all over the Midwest.
By having an on-site service department, we can provide the fastest response times related to repairing your equipment. No need to send your device away to a repair depot. Just behind our showroom walls is our own service department complete with a full compliment of parts. We constantly order parts in order to minimize your down time.
At Access Mobility, we help families and individuals stay active and on the go. No, not by giving them an energy drink! By providing and maintaining mobility products and services so they can access their lives! We take the weight off of our client's shoulders by listening to their concerns and understanding their challenges.
There is a program that may pay for what is called the seat lift mechanism of a lift chair. This is the hardware that does the helpful lifting of the chair. Insurance considers the rest of the chair to be furniture, and is not eligible for assistance. Because we do not file insurance claims, but pride ourselves on being a top lift chair provider, we discount every chair in the amount of the insurance set allowable.
In the 1980's, our service area stretched through several states across the Midwest. After a significant change in the way insurance viewed the helpful product, our focus drew closer to home. Today, with over 30 lift and recline chairs on display in our spacious showroom, Access Mobility is the premier destination for Central Indiana and Indianapolis to shop for a lift chair.

We drove 100 miles from southern Indiana to check this business out for an electric motor scooter for our disabled Daughter. As it turned out it was worth every mile. They go out of their way before, during, and after the sale. Some places around where we live locally could benefit from doing business like these people. A special thanks to Angie, Tony, and Amanda. Access Mobility has helped my husband and I with many different products from an electric Jazzy, to two beautiful Lift chairs and a couple of rollators. They are very gracious and pleasant and our salesman Tony is a top-of-the-line salesman and all of the people working there are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this company.

I went into the Access Mobility on S. Emerson ave to look at Electric Lift chairs for my wife. Angie met me and took me back to the chairs. She showed me what i was looking for; not real expensive, with firm seat. Got home, showed info to my wife, she came into the store(had to be wheeled in a wheel chair). Angie showed her and I available chairs in our price range and firm seat. We selected one and we got a call later in the day, by Amanda, and said it would be delivered Tues. or Wed. Well, she called back in 1/2 hour or so and said, "we will deliver today."! The same day we purchased the chair

I recently purchased a Pride Go Go Sport 3 wheel to use around the house. It is a great machine. The speed is variable from "turtle" and up. The turning radius is very tight which make it easy to move inside our house. Machine has a light, horn, swivel seat, and is very user friendly. Plug in the battery charger every night and it's ready to go.

My original review was 3 stars based on the service. The product itself we've been very pleased with. After posting my original review, the company contacted us to correct the issues. They've communicated with us several times and made visits to diagnose and fix the problems. Very pleased with the outcome and how friendly they've been to deal with.

I came in with my mother whom is totally dependent on mobility to get around. We entered the Access Mobility business near closing and was awarded A wonderful Man named Tony. Tony was very patient with my mother and I as we carefully tested several mobility scooters.
Closing time came and EVERY other employee left Mr Tony and he continued to patiently work with us. NOT ONE MOMENT did I feel rushed, but we felt as if we was Mr Tony's first client of the day.
After we purchased our scooter he went . Above and beyond and helped me arrange the new scooter in my trunk...

Everything changed in our lives last month and we needed to make changes to our loved ones living conditions. I contacted 3 mobility companies and each one came to quote a stair lift. One person stood out, he is Jimmy Warner and he not only showed us options but he went around the home and made recommendations on other mobility solutions that would make the transition home easier. I was sold immediately. On top of that Access Mobility is a family owned company that can focus on the customer. I highly recommend them for any mobility needs.

If you are reading this, I hope that you have good health. However, if you or someone you care about has back pains or mobility problems, I highly recommend stopping in to try out the equipment here.
This family run business is loaded with options. Unlike some places that have a limited number of showroom options and rely upon catalogs, this place lets you actually try before you buy.
So, my wife searched online and found this business to stop by. After parking in their lot in front of the building, we entered through the doors and the showroom was on the left hand side of the entrance.
